The way they looked, one could understand why they were such a profoundly effective hypnotist. The cat-like way they moved about. The touches she chose to make felt so natural, it would be surprising if they never happened. The way her voice touched a part so vulnerable and readied the person hypnotized to obey her.
The session started innocent, she asked me what my preferences were for what I wanted to be called, and shared her own.
“You may call me S,” she cooed.
“Yes, S.”
“Good, Bret. Just like that.” She moved one finger across my shoulder and down my arm.
Despite myself, I made a low moan. “Thank you, S.”
“Very good. Are you ready to be hypnotized, Bret?”
“Yes, S. Yes, please.” I couldn’t help but shift in my chair from excitement.
“Okay Bret. Make yourself more comfortable. You can loosen your top button and tie. I do appreciate the effort made. You look so fresh, it is clear that you wanted to make a good first impression. As you do this, you’ll start to feel even better than you thought you could by doing such a simple action. That’s right.”
“Yes, S.” I could feel my mind starting to change.
“That’s good, Bret. Just focus on my voice inside your head.”
She now was in front of me, one hand on my shoulder and the other in my hair. Her gaze was softly penetrating my mind. Her hand moved around to the front of my forehead, and traced her fingers down my face to my chest.
“Allow yourself to drop easily and fully down. With each exhale, allow your mind to release and fall away as I count down from 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 completely gone now.”
I could feel myself gently falling through he chair and down below me. The swirling inevitably of my own trance, coupled with her expert influence, lulled me into a safe and calm surrender. Whether it was five minutes or five hours, I wouldn’t be able to tell you. Time lost its meaning, and I was lost and happy in trance.
