You're right, Morris Pert has been present on many intriguing albums, so his appearance on Time Square by Eberhard Schoener shouldn't be a shock. What could surprise us might be the fact the record still sounds vital despite being an LP of electronic music from the early 80's that sounds like something his peers would have done during the late 70's. Then again, Mr. Schoener was one of the pioneering users of Moog, which meant he really had no rules to follow, he had to rely on himself to get through his own way of the idiom. Moreover, Time Square, one of the platters of his with Mr. Pert's percussion, bristles with energy, this is not sterile electronic music. Actually, we could called this a piece of progressive rock in the machine disguise.
