MY VERSION of season 5
Whilst breaking off the engagement, Felicity agreed to remain in a committed relationship with Oliver whilst she ensured she could trust him again, with the promise of marriage ever hanging in the air. Whilst not at the level of when they were in Ivy Town, their relationship is strong, and they are slowly progressing towards an eventual marriage.
However, their relationship is hindered a lot by Felicity’s continued agony over Havenrock and what happened with her father, despite Oliver’s many efforts to help her.
Meanwhile, at Laurel’s request, Oliver hires a new ADA: Adrian Chase- her old law school working partner. The two immediately fall back into their old partnership and become nearly unstoppable, especially in their continued attempts to secure a pardon for Roy, whom Thea is off travelling the world with. Laurel herself remains committed to her long distance relationship with Cisco Ramon and Lisa Snart, and promises not to try and reignite her old romance.
Whilst excited over Roy’s potential return, Oliver realises that he needs an extra pair of hands; He, Felicity and Laurel aren’t really enough to hold the line; especially while Digg has reenlisted. So he brings in Curtis and Paul, the latter as Oliver understands how dangerous it is to lie to the love of your life and he doesn't want Curtis to make the same mistake he did.
Meanwhile, SCPD hires a new, starry eyed detective; Billy Malone. Quentin, still in the deep throes of alcoholism, takes a liking to the new kid and takes him under his wing. Billy learns the brutality of policing, and Quentin discovers that maybe he’s still a good cop. With the help of Billy and Laurel, he slowly starts to pull himself out of his downward spiral.
Team Arrow’s continued work, both by day and night, to slowly destroy the power base of the gangs is jeopardised by the arrival of ruthless gangster Tobias Church, a man on a mission; to take Star City.
However, this is only the beginning of Team Arrow’s problems; the remnants of HIVE appear to be making a resurgence, a ruthless reporter is attempting to pull Oliver and Felicity apart, Felicity’s progress in her recovery is nearly erased by the only survivor of Havenrock, Laurel discovers she may be a metahuman, and Nyssa arrives in Starling bringing ominous warnings about her sister and a “Throwing Star Killer”. However, none of these shake Team Arrow’s world like the arrival of Digg with Samantha Clayton, who reveals the same man hunting Nyssa forced her to give Oliver the ultimatum that nearly destroyed Oliver and Felicity’s relationship.
As Star City becomes engulfed in a brutal gang war as well as the Throwing Star Killer’s unforgiving quest for revenge, Team Arrow find themselves as the targets of a ruthless maniac who appears to know every one of their secrets. As the city becomes Hell on Earth, Oliver and Felicity question whether they can ever have a proper life together, and both seriously consider whether the decision Oliver made when they returned from Ivy Town was the right one. As his mind is slowly consumed by the question of whether he can ever have a normal life with Felicity, Oliver’s world crumbles around him and he is finally forced to confront the consequences of his killing spree……..
"These kids smoke better dope than I do." -Paul Holt (Friday the 13th Part 2)
I was really really REALLY hoping Curtis’ husband would be another black guy.
Stop fucking lying Curtis.
I really don’t want Paul and Curtis to have marriage problems. I just want couples on this god forsaken show to be happy.
