lgbtincomics pride month challenge: day 24: live action characters | dctvq | part two | both sets → “it’s not a bad word.”
@midniter Do you know when Lucifer was confirmed as bi/pan? I haven't watched all the episodes or read all the comics and in lgbtincomics we don't have him on our list because nobody told us about it jdjdjdj so I really don't know
got you covered: writers room for the show tweeted a response here -- i haven’t read any of the comics, i don’t know how specified it is in there. it is shown in a few of the lucifer episodes, like 2x11 where there’s a montage of lucifer’s exes being interrogated there is at least one man, and one of the victims is a male ex of his.
heyy maze is actually pan! the actress confirmed it
i’m glad to hear it! i did have a lot of research done for dctvq for her, lucifer, babs, and tabs since they were less specified in show-canon.
also just found the tweet from her see it here
i did try to avoid going with actor-confirmed sexualities, though, unless it’s well known that they were informed of this by the writing staff or producers. actors have a big role in coding a character but not much in the direction their stories are taken (see also: katie cassidy and wentworth) and while i love actors having their take and their truth of the character, it’s basically a slightly more legitimate headcanon until they convince the producers.
edit: had another point -- i would consider maze as more ‘canonically pansexual’ than leonard though, since she’s already shown to be multispec whereas he hasn’t been. they’re botn a little too close to the fence though.
