Paul Stamets & Hugh Culber I Star Trek: Discovery
“I thought Lt. Staments was my dad but then I met Captain Pike and I realized I had multiple dads”

oh boy here’s Staments’ crash I’ve been anticipating
Y’all acting like the Culber/Staments kiss was the first gay kiss on Star Trek I’ve seen people saying like it’s a first for a POC main character or female captain and the Star Trek fandom know that is wrong (Captain Sisko, Captain Janeway), however so far I haven’t seen any of the Star Trek fandom correcting anyone even within the fandom about this “first ever gay kiss in Star Trek” between Paul Staments and Hugh Culber. Yes, it’s a great relationship, yes the kiss was great, but it’s not the first ever. Staments/Culber is however the first gay couple to be returning characters together; but I do see the fandom celebrating that :))
Arm ports for my Stamets cosplay!!
HISTORY WAS MADE NOVEMBER 12TH, 2017
The post is late, but whatever.
I finally got caught up on Star Trek Discovery tonight. The mid-season finale, Into the Forest I Go, was amazing.
But the thing that was the most amazing?
Two male characters confirmed to be in a romantic relationship kissed on screen.
That's right folks.
Star Trek's first officially canon SHOWN ON SCREEN GAY COUPLE
THE SOUND THAT CAME OUT OF ME WAS NOT HUMAN.
