Don’t support vets who declaw

Support local legislation outlawing it

Don’t cripple your animals for your convenience

Support groups like the Paw Project who advocate for its removal from vet medicine practice.

Don’t own a cat if you can’t handle an animal with claws

Adopt declawed cats, they have a much higher abandonment/return rate and a much lower adoption rate

One of my worst fears are those stories where people bring their cats in to be spayed/neutered and the vets either mess up or think they're doing the owner a favor by declawing the cat. Terrifying.
