Patsy Walker aka Hellcat #7

Good thing all the other books this week are great, that really helps overpower the stench of the big pile of dung that is Vote Loki #1. For most of them, it's them doing great what they've always done well; at this point you don't need me to tell you that I Hate Fairyland, Astonishing Ant-Man and Black Widow are great, you either already know or don't care. What I wanted to talk about was PWAH #7, which is pretty much the same it's always been, but also features one big thing that I had feared we'd lost forever:

Jessica Jones who does stuff!

Thanks to the TV show for that, I guess! I still don't get how we got here, though. Everyone loved Alias. People sometimes, rarely, acknowledge that The Pulse existed. But then Jessica married Luke, got a baby, and that's it. She's appeared in plenty of stuff, but always as Luke's wife and Danielle's mother. Right now, I really love Power Man and Iron Fist, but isn't it weird how we get a book about the next two Netflix shows (and of course Daredevil has always had one), but Jessica is left by the wayside?

Anyway, here, Jessica runs her own business, gets active, snarky, gets into and out of trouble, all together with Patsy of course. Luke does show up, and here it's him who has the role as the marital sidekick. It's pretty damn refreshing. Now why can't we get more of that?
