11 Years, 11 Moments
Akash and Payal, our sweetest underrated couple as gentle as the wind yet as strong as a rock. My mother always said this one line about them, “How poetic that they’re named Akash and Payal! There’s the sky bound by an anklet.”
Bhare bazaar baby kalley na jaana Nahi te shor mach jayega Har koi aashiq Tujhe tere ghar tak chhodne aayega
- ‘Bhare Bazaar’ (Namaste England, 2018)
Another gem ArShi parallel.
HATED what they did to both Payal and Akash's character. When Deepali and Akshay quit the show, I literally thought to myself "good for these two." I seriously wouldn't have been able to take any more butchering of their character by Ved and Gul.
AJAAAAYYY!!!!!!
You bringing back the OTP Asks is such an unexpected bright spot for me!
And I'm going to ruin the warm hearted vibe by asking if you would be inclined to do 30. An exchange of dirty talk- between PayAsh and Anjali and Aman?🙈
I LOVED the Arnav and Khushi one (pheewww) so I was dying to know how you imagine the dynamics between the other two!
Thankyou ♡♡♡
ANOOOOONNNNNN JIIIIII!
Thank you so much for the love and thank you - bada waala - for participating in the OTP ask. I see you have woken up and chosen spice ;)
30) Write a short exchange of dirty talk between them.
There was something incredibly attractive about a woman who was soft, elegant, motherly and fragrant. Payal was all of that. Akash leaned against the door and watch his wife of seven years put their twins to sleep.
Payal fastened her silk robe, grabbed her phone and headed towards him, completely unaware what her messy hair and slow walk was doing to him. Payal smiled and her heart swelled, Akash had become a better husband ever since they had their kids.
“Pay-”
“Shush, talk softly.” Payal whispered, hoping her sweet, adorable devils didn’t wake up.
“I don’t think I’m the one who has a problem of being loud.” Akash whispered. Payal dropped her phone (thankfully on the carpeted floor) and stared at him in shock.
“What happened?” Akash held her chin and gently shut her mouth with a small nudge.
“A-Akash ji,” Payal stammered, cheeks blooming with heat.
“Ji Payal ji.” He replied, mirth dancing in his eyes. Payal composed herself and looked dead at him in the eye.
“You shouldn’t fly so much considering you couldn’t even think of simply removing your pants on New Year’s Eve.” Akash colored in embarrassment recalling the time he was stuck on the blasted chair.
“Perhaps many more things would’ve come off but you and your glued pants...” Payal chuckled, his hapless face incredibly comical - years later!
“I see, bohot hasi aa rahi hai?” Akash walked towards her.
“No,” Payal tried to stop her laugh. Akash pinned her against the door, her wrists in one hand as he whispered,
“Abhi bhi hasi aa rahi hai?” Payal shivered as his free hand explored the curves he loved.
“Akash, the kids-” Payal gasped.
“Let’s see how quiet you can be.” He grinned when Payal grabbed his collar and dragged him to the bathroom.
Anjali sat by the pool, lighting the last candle. She closed her eyes and enjoyed the soft breeze. A few more hours and it would be New Year. She noticed her beloved Chote and Khushi close dance in a private corner of the living room - blissfully unaware they were visible to anyone passing by.
Anjali smiled and thanked the lord for blessing her brother and Khushi with every imaginable happiness. Her chain of thought and prayers broke with her phone vibrating.
It was a text message from Aman.
“You look beautiful tonight.” Anjali looked around, searching for the handsome, curly haired, broody man she had grown to love. Aman Mathur.
His name sent shivers of pleasure he had given her the night before. There was something exciting about having a secret affair.
There he was, standing on top of the stairs, staring at her with his hawk eyes.
“You take my breath away in more ways than one Mr. Mathur,” Anjali replied.
“You give me too much credit Miss. Raizada, if I remember you are the one who excel at it.” Aman texted, leaning against the railing, wondering if he’d go to hell for romancing his boss’s sister. More likely killed and packaged by Arnav Singh Raizada to hell.
Anjali blushed at the text and leaned against the lounge chair, completely aware of how flattering and invisible her thin saree was under the moonlight. Keeping the eye contact she called him.
“You are too kind.” Anjali whispered.
“You haven’t seen my kindness yet. If you are kind enough, I might just show how kind I can be.” Aman flicker his gaze down, letting Anjali know where all he intended to show his kindness.
“If we were alone, I’d let you know how beautiful you look.” Aman fidgeted with his tie.
“Meet me out in five - use the back door.” Anjali cut the call and looked at the watch - it was 11:55pm. Although she no longer believed the ‘theory’ of seeing a beloved during midnight - she felt the sudden urge to see his face before anyone’s with the New Year.
Aman shot her a grin and walked the other way, playing with the small square box in his pocket.

Hope you liked this anon! I had a lot of fun time imagining how it could be!

Hello AJ. Shy anon here.
I'm loving these otp asks you're doing and so I thought I'd join the fun and since you've already answered most of these for Arnav and Khushi I thought I'd ask for a different pair. 13 and 17 for Akash and Payal.
Take care.
Bye 🥰
Hello sweetest Shy anon!
Thank you for loving the otp asks! I haven't answered all of Arnav & Khushi's yet but thank you for asking about Akash and Payal.
13) Name something they would never do for the other person.
Ironically, Akash would not break his commitment to Payal just because the relationship would be difficult or that Payal would have a love-less but more convenient life. He wouldn't leave her for her sake.
And Payal would never hide the truth from Akash even if the lie is more convenient for Akash's life.
In short, if Akash and Payal were given full reign and explored completely - then much of the dilemma in IPK would've never happened. And the above two scenarios we have seen that Akash would not break up with Payal, even for her, nor was Payal ready to hide to the truth (even if things would be better for him).
17) What senses (sights, smells, feelings, etc). remind them of each other?
Answered here :)
Much love,
- AJ
Hi!
17, 19, 21 for Payal and Aakash for the OTP asks please?
Sorry I'm being so greedy!
Hello!
Haha no no I like greedy people XD And thank you for enthusiastically taking part in the OTP asks!
17) What senses (sights, smells, feelings, etc). remind them of each other?
Akash: Busy markets, fabrics, chikankari, potatoes, diyas, sunrise, incense, kajal, silver, zardozi and love remind him of Payal
Payal: white, doves, lenses, chandeliers, embers, fireworks, fresh water, clean linen, ittr, comfort and home remind her of Akash
19) If they could each write a single line in their marriage vows, what would they be?
Akash: "If life gets to us, then remind me, I was never happier than the day you agreed to marry me."
Payal: "I will always be with you Akash, no matter what happens."
21) How have they changed each other for the better/for the worse?
For worse
As we saw in the show, the lack of privacy and their utter dedication to their family can make them grow apart as they have no time for each other.
Since they both know they love and chose each other, they forget that they still need to learn about each other and need to communicate - they both overestimate the other's understanding.
For better
Akash has really grown into his own post marriage. Especially with Payal. He realises focusing on self isn't a bad thing. His sense of humor has increased (given how much he loves Payal's laughs). And finally, he has become more expressive. Also, he has stopped blaming others or putting responsibilities of events on others and focuses more on what he can do.
Payal has learned to communicate - demand conversations if necessary. She is less hurt, knows how much weight to give to events. She does not hide anything from Akash and is more resolute about what she instinctively feels right.
Thanks for asking :D
Lots of love,
- JWB
