A pelt that didn't make the cut for a different project, so I'm looking to either upload it myself or find a buyer 👀

the most egregious thing for me about this tarot thing was that the artist reached out asking if it was fine. a mod intercepted their ask and even when they insisted they wanted the people in charge of the pelt approvals to answer, they were told it was discussed and fine. then it turned out to be not fine.

whatever ways the artist dug their heels in after, whatever bullshit excuse either side slung at one another aside, the fact remains that there was approval given initially and then it was rescinded.

they need to stop giving upfront critique and approval. just wait for the pelt to hit the queue and then have that back and forth privately to figure out what needs to happen. feedback being given by random users who have no real impact on the approval project is mudding the waters

i've been commissioned to render a living kitty into the style of Paw Borough's game art for a private pelt. The first half of this comm is the above coat coloring and eyes; the lineart and body shading is all PB's handiwork, the coloring and eye rendering are all mine ;)

Salt to another discussion in a pelt discord. I'm european. I didn't grow up with US race problems. I see a hijab on site and think " desert clothes are ok" but then see a Zelda Gerudu outfit posted in the Discord as an example that PB shouldn't allow. And ppl behave like it is sooo obvious. But as someone who isn't chroncially online I can only safely draw european stuff. AND EVEN THEN I can get denied because something like Tarot (european stuff!) and the most random elements can be a problem.

(part 2) A list of things that are obviously racist: bone nose rings, peacock feather hairdress, animal skulls in specific shapes, a feather behind a cats ear, a feather earring, some desert clothes. It feels like everything is a "depends" for you! Pleaaase release the racist lexicon for europeans that don't know about your racist school dramas. It's impossible to navigate this.
