I drew my character PBJ in my new style! Finally!
This is an old friend of mine from highschool and I dont even remember the context for why our friends made it, but it’s been sitting in my picture library for years and I just wanted to show it 2 u all
Me: Why is getting up a thing
@pbjplatypus: Because sometimes the world might need you a little more than usual
4-9!
4) do you like your name? is there another name you think would fit you better?
I love my name! In fact, I like my birth name so much that I’m hesitant to ask people to completely switch over to calling me Jules, even though it’s just a shortened version of Juliana.
5) do you think of yourself as a human being or a human doing? do you identify yourself by the things you do?
I guess I do. I don’t really know what else I would define myself by. I guess personality, but your personality leads to certain actions, so in the end it all comes back to what you do. Though I tend to define myself and others by their intentions as well as their actions.
6) are you religious/spiritual?
Sometimes I wish I was. I think it’d be easier to cope with the death of two family members if I thought they were in a better (or even just another) place. I pray sometimes, I “talk” to my mom sometimes, but I don’t really believe it goes anywhere. It’s more for my own benefit - a way to reflect.
7) do you care about your ethnicity?
I only care about it in the sense that I realize I’m privileged as a white person and would like to recognize the ways in which I am so I can unlearn some of society’s harmful teachings. But I think that’s more about race than ethnicity? I have a difficult time figuring out what the difference is in those definitions sometimes.
8) what musical artists have you most felt connected to over your lifetime?
Probably Streetlight Manifesto. I’ve been listening to them for like 4 or 5 years now and I really connect with a lot of their songs, especially their album Everything Went Numb.
And I really, really love Koji Kondo’s soundtracks for Nintendo because they’ve been with me pretty much my whole life, and that’s a connection in and of itself.
9) are you an artist?
I like to think I am. I don’t do much art these days (I include writing in art). But I like the feeling of having created something and I like talking about my ideas.
Buck Dewey, Lars!
BUCK DEWEY - Who’s the coolest person you know?
I can’t choose just one person - I know so many cool people! So instead, I’ll say what I think makes people cool. I like people who are passionate and love to learn and love to do what they do. I think those are the coolest people, because they always have a spark in their eyes and they’re excited about sharing what they know and learning from others. They’re the best kind of people to interact with.
LARS - Have you ever told a really big lie?
I’ve told lies before, obviously, but I can’t remember a time I ever lied so hard that it blew up in my face or affected more than me and the person I lied to. I avoid lying when I can, especially if lying is going to have big consequences.
Mable, Kicks, Resetti!
Mable: Are you extroverted or introverted?
Definitely introverted. I sometimes have short periods of time where I don’t want to be alone and want constant social interaction (it used to happen a lot more than it does now), but usually people just exhaust me after a certain point, especially if I’m hosting. It can get really bad - it’s part of the reason I so rarely invite people to visit me across state lines, even if I’m really close to them.
Kicks: Describe your favorite pair of shoes.
A pair of black (fake) leather boots that come up about as far as crew socks. They have tons of buckles on the sides.
Resetti: If you had the chance, would you go spelunking?
I’ve been spelunking! It was our freshman excursion trip for UMBC in my year. It was sooo cool. I would definitely go again.
Robert: The thirst is strong, but our friendship is stronger.
Look at this adorable dork of a puppy.
