In villainy, sometimes you need to spot them before they spot you. Also, yes, we do have Wi-Fi in the mental hospital, why does everybody keeps asking me that?
Sure, we all know That Guy(TM)! Somehow, he is always bragging about something, opening his/her mouth to spew some BS, never filtering the things he says through his/her mind because they lack one. They suck and must be destroyed.
Let me make myself clear. The reason they suck is because they all want to be like Gaston. No, wait, hear me out! Yes, they all want to be like Gaston, but they cannot be like Gaston because No One is as good at Gastoning like Gaston. There, I coined a new term! Gastoning! The thing that only Gaston can do, which is everything he does while Gaston. Gaston-ception!
So, to get rid of the Not-Gaston Gaston wannabes of the world, use this lovely spread.
Shuffle the cards and lay down three.
THE READING:
Their Objective: The thing they want. This is the reason why they act like they act.
Their Achilles Heel: Their vulnerability. The best way to deal with them without breaking a sweat.
Our Bond:They reason he is in your life right now.
THE TWIST:
They need to go away from you. The easiest way for them to go away can be gleaned from the following:
Same Suit: IF the central card shares the suit of any of the two cards flanking it, then pay more attention to the card the is a match. This will give you a better idea about the way they are going to exit your life, either the mess up (if card number 1 is the match) or you resolve te conflict (if card numer 3 is the match) or both (if the three cards match).
Facing: Additionally, an in the spirit of giving the spread more leeway to help you, you could see if the centrla card (card number 2) is facing one of the cards flanking it.
Post-Mortem Analysis: If none of the above is present, then it means the situation will take at least another lunar cycle to solve itself or be in a position for you to solve it.
A Word of Caution: Please, use this for garden-variety trolls and douches, not for serious sociopaths. Make sure you are safe at all times, and love yourself first and foremost. Like Gaston when he looks himself in the mirror!
Now, if you´ll excuse me. It is time for my sponge bath. But please, remember our good rule of thumg here. If you wanna be Gastoing, make sure your name is Gaston.
If you are anything like most people (that is, like, ALL OF THEM, LeFou!) you might feel a little... inadecuate from time to time, and maybe even doubt your value and your talents and all the good things that the other villagers wish they could have for themselves. Like an incredible thick... neck, for example.
So, in lieu of the usual negative chatter in your brain, allow The Gaston bring that down a notch and make your day better, because, like, seriously, NO ONE gives Pep-Talks like Gaston! (*whispers fan-girly-like* I heard that NO ONE is as good at expectorating like Gaston!!).
Aaaaaand we are going to use a Method that “Real Men that are Named Gaston (TM)” use: Bridge-Building, because nothing gets the macho inside all of us excited like murdering trees and using them in conjuction with a very sharp axe to create a bridge and get the fuck over it already.
BUT, Gaston knows that maybe you are not ready to murder trees and create ugly-looking yet quite sturdy bridges that in no way are used by Gaston to compensate for other things (no siree!). SO, the next best thing is using your tarot cards (that thing that has, like, ALL THE PICTURES IN IT, BELL!!!1!!!!) to build a “mepaphorycol” bridge and use IT to get the fuck over it already.
THE READING:
Shuffle the cards as best as you can, puny villager, and then form a line with all the cards face-down. You are going to take one card at a time and place them forming an horizontal line in front of you, face-up, so you can have your flimsy “mepaphorycal” bridge that will not help you compensate for other things that Gaston does not know about, why do you keep asking?!!!1!!
The first part is the Listening (to yourself): The first card you draw is the one that is going to represent your present-moment less-than-good mood and it shall represent that which is not making you feel al bubbly inside. In this part of the reading you are going to stop for as long as you feel like it (and even a bit more) to use this card to Listen to Yourself, because you have to give you time to identify your feelings and the root of them before attempting to build a bridge.
Then the Affirming: A very good thing you have, that others don´t have, that makes you special. Be gentle, don´t go expecting fireworks here! Just something nice that cracks a smile in your pretty face.
Recognizing: Yes, this one is for recognizing that your initial stand MIGHT have some value and is not unfounded, BUT, it also will represent the problem in a more positive scope and not as a gigantic problem. Even cards like The Devil or The Tower are not that horrible if you stop to consider them as something that you will survive and have their own weaknesses. The Devil loses power over you if you stop giving it freely to it, and The Tower might spell disaster, but all things can and will be rebuild if you reach for Hope.
The Affirming: BOOM! Something even better, something even more powerful and wonderful inside you that will give you advantage over everything that No One but you have. Like when Gaston reaches for his knife when his enemies think they have hom cornered! This is something that counters the last card and even uplifts the positivity when used with the second card in the spread.
Then Recognizing Shit less Dark: Then Darkness tries to overpower you again, but this card shows that no, your problem (whatever it is) is ACTUALLY afraid of you. Hear that? Actually afraid of you and here is why.
Then MOAR affirming: And in this Spread Position you are invited to keep drawing cards that signal a quality that, upon recognizing it inside you, will bolster your confidence. Please, say “No One...” and then draw the card in quickly interpret with a positive sping what is depicted to finish the sentence. And again, “No One...” BAM!, next card does it again. And again and again and again until you feel like going out there and kill a bear with your bare hands!!!!!L!!
Then Treat Yourself: The last card drawn is intended to inspire you reaching for a reward after doing some tedious work or maybe even giving you something, like, right now, man! This card wil show what, always being something that will NOT set your goals back if you do them.
Post-Mortem Analysis: If for whatever reason you draw a card for the pile that is sure to form up in position number “Six-dozen-eggs”, discard it a la “No One stops giving a damn like Gaston” and draw another one! Is that cheating? Let me answer the “mepaphorycal” question that I just raised with another "mepaphorycal” I, too, shall rise for you: “Have you lately made sure you have developed enough presence of mind to, like, notice already that you are inside a Humble Villanous Abode of Villany and Scum that ultimately helps you more than your local church???? (yes, I went there!!)” Thought so, then, because you are, indeed, inside a Humble Villainous Abode of Villainy and Scum! So, tl;dr: No One gives a Damn. No One. Especially Gaston!
A Word of Caution: You might start hearing a lot of voices objecting to the cards in the spread to remind you that you, like, suck. Well, in that case, Gaston´s recommendation is that maybe you should, like, PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE!!!!!1!!!
And, before you go out to kill bears with you bare hands like they are made of fluff, remember that No One has it all like Gaston! He even has the thickest Macho Manly Chest Hair in all of the realm, and.... Ooooooh, girl!
Ways to Feel Disney Witchy when reading Tarot/Oracle/Lenormand: A Guide
Because I seriously have issues. Maybe. Still, I have more fun than my friends will ever have, so there!
In villainy, when reading the cards, developing a sense of wicked fun is essential. You are not just any old mystical reader (not that there is something wrong with it, of course, except for everything). You are a Disney Villainous Reader and you have to abide by some etiquette.
1. When shuffling the cards, it is very important to intone an approapriate spell. Madame Leota´s Séance Chant or the Evil Queen´s Magic Mirror summoning Chant are acceptable options.
2. Whenever you do a naughty-naughty and read for third-party persons and you find some juicy gossip, feel free to use the patented Disney Villain Laughter of Eternal Gleefulness.
3. It is totally ok that, whenever the cards tell you your enemies are going up against you and fail, feel free to yell “You think you could defeat me? Me? The Master/Mistress of All Evil?!”.
4. If your querent asks a dumb question for the umptenth time and the cards do agree with you, plase use the Most Powerful Insult Villains are capable of: “Fool! You poor simple FOOL!”.
5. Whenever casting a spell with our patented Villainous Magick Spreads, feel free to intone Maleficent´s Forest of Thorns Curse or Ursula´s Beluga Sevruga Curse and visualize, visualize, visualize!
6. If for whatever reason you are in love with someone that despises you, or you like them despite your so-called values, and the cards show in excrutiating detail this ocurrence, you are hereby ordered to sing a heartfelt rendition of “Hellfire” in front of a fireplace.
7. When in doubt regarding the ethical implications of a reading (sans giving legal/medical advice, because villains are NOT STUPID), do your worse! If you want to do your best and want to argue with me till the end of time about the ethics of this sort of actions, get out of my castle! You are more than welcome to go to Snow White and cry her a river for Pocahontas to ride on singing “Just around the riverbend”! Wheee!
8. Whenever the cards show things going in your favor, plase sing the “Be Prepared!” chorus line with all the glee you can muster.
9. If someone questions your reading abilities, go full-on Facilier over their froggy asses with a hearty “Don´t you disrespect me, little man!”. Frog them up, down and sideways!
10. Dress for the occassion with furs, lots and lots of beautiful furs. And if you, for whatever godamn reason inhabiting this wretched world you don´t own a nice piece of fur clothing, wear black. Seriously, rock the villainy out of those black clothes!
11. An Instrumental version of “Poor Unfortunate Souls” is recommended as background music when reading for a querent that has or will give you money for reading them the cards. Pray to Chernabog, though, that the musical piece does not tip them off!
12. Acceptable payment methods include money, first and foremost. But you will be remissed if you ever don´t require them to pay you with something else. Acceptable payments includes but are not limited to: their voice, their heart, their magic, pixie dust, the thing they love the most, a tear, a favour to be asked later on and that they cannot refuse you. All of these items can and should be used in further witchcraft that may or may not result in them getting “raked through the coals”.
13. Whenever you have to choose a card, let the Haunted Mansion Ghosts guide your hand. Ok, no, I am just kidding. Whenever you choose a card, knock three times on the table to awaken the spirits from last halloween because you happen to lack a proper tambourine.
So there, you have been warned! Failure to comply with these rules will result in an impromptu visit to Bald Mountain. Trust me on this one, better misbehave in a Disney Villainous-approved way or learno how to The Chernabog Way.
In villainy, sometimes you need to take some drastic measures to get what you want. Yeah, sometimes it is going to suck, but often it is just so worth the trouble, and besides, a little deal with cosmic forces beyond comprehension never hurt nobody, right?
....
Right?!
This is a spread to be done while in a trance. You need to select a Significator the represents that which you desire to get: love, magick, power, influence, prosperity, money... You name it!
After you are in a proper trance, please take your tarot/oracle/lenormand deck and make a wish. Shuffle the cards and cut the deck in half, and place a hand over each half.
Once you read the two top cards of each half od the deck, you are accepting to pay the price for the spell. You are accepting to have placed upon your wrist Armbands that will both grant your wish but also bind you to pay the price for the magic. You must really, REALLY, be prepared to pay the price that both cards ask for!
What prices you could end up needing to pay? Good old things like helping others, listening others, abstain from doing things or meditate and reflect on other things, but you could even end up being asked to do more difficult things, or even things that could end making others upset incluiding yourself... So you must be really, REALLY sure you want, for even if you change your mind the Armbands will bind you to your words.
Post-Mortem Analysis: This is going to be one the less popular spread in this horrid yet humble tumblr blog of mine. Still, there is a chance you could twist this enough so only good things can come out of it. Hey, I won´t judge you if you decide to sanitize my villainous spread except that I will totally will! (JK)
A Word of Caution: This could be quite gratifying in its own way, if you dare to enact the spell. This is yet one more of many magickal resources I put into your hands because I know that there is nothing you would love more than the universe be yours to command! To control! But still, remember to be careful with what you wish for. Also, keep in mind that you could end up with phenomal cosmic powers, but with a itty-bitty living space.

You got a Ghost Lantern!!
This lantern belonged to Poe, apparently. Who knows? it looks like it! This mysterious spread can be adapted to any topic you want to read about. This spread will light up to illuminate your very soul and search for a Pesky Poe that has special answers.
For this spread you will need to separate your Tarot Deck into its three components: The Major Arcana, The Court Card and the Minor Arcana. Just put the three piles in front of you and shuffle them separately. Think about that which you want answers to while you shuffle.
Once you are done with that, take one card from each pile face down and shuffle those three cards together thoroughly until you have no idea which card is which. When you are done doing that, place the cards using this layout that consist of a vertical central card and two horizontal cards, one on top of the central card and the other below that very same central card:
THE READING:
Flip the card in the center. This is the Soul of the Lantern. This position is about what is the central thing you need to know or do, but the interpretation varies depending on which card landed here. If it is a Major Arcana Card, it means that this card is playing a big role in the situation and has major repercussions into the future; that is to say, there is an important reason for this. If it is a Court Card, someone other than you is central to this question and has a strong influence over everything. If it is a Minor Arcana Card, something more earthly is afoot or it is indicating the place you are in the path you are traversing regarding the subject.
Now, flip the topmost card and the bottommost card.
The Topmost Card represents the Light: Mostly, it represents Positive Aspects influencing the situation, aspects that you have to empower and protect, because they will give you victory. If this card is facing outside the spread, it means the Light is far away or neglected. If it is facing the central card, it means the Light is At Hand.
The Bottomost Card represents the Darkness: Mostly, it represents Negative Aspects (difficulties, lessons yet to be learned). These Aspects have to be faced and kept at bay, especially if the Topmost Card is facing away from the spread. Likewise, the power these Negative Aspects have depends on the card facing the central position or not.
Next, take a look at the Soul of he Lantern. If the Card is Upwards, something favorable is about to happen and you should take advantage of it to empower, protect and reach for the Light. If it is Reversed, something is about to happen that empowers the Darkness and you should take precautions and take action. Now, how to determine what is going to happen or how to avoid unwanted consequences? Glad you asked, because the answers lies in the following step.
You can either shuffle the three piles of cards or just search the Major Arcana pile. Either way, you are going to search for the Pesky Poe, an associated Major Arcana Card that holds more answers and/or a plan. Use this table to localize your Pesky Poe:
0 - XI V - XVI X - XXI
I - XII VI - XVII
II - XIII VII - XVIII
III - XIV VIII - XIX
IV - XV IX - XX
Once you localize the Major Arcana Card, take a look at the cards flanking it at either side of it and read the three cards like you would normally. You can shuffle the three cards or read them as you find them in the deck/pile. What do they mean?
Well, maybe Past, Present and Future. Maybe Event, Complication and Outcome. Maybe Action, Reaction and Outcome. Maybe Trouble, Effect and Solution. Maybe, Do This, Avoid That and Outcome. Maybe Cast this Spell, Pray for This and Call This. Maybe, Believe This, Forget That and Outcome. Maybe What you can change, what you cannot alter, and the Best Path. Maybe The Lesson, What did not worked well, Key Point of this. Maybe First Option, Second Option, and Third Option. Maybe, Mind, Body and Spirit. Maybe, Your conscious, your unconscious and Higher Self. Or maybe, the material plane, the emotional plane and the spiritual plane. I took those interpretations from my notes, but the point here is that these three cards can mean whatever you feel will help you the most.
And there you have it. One more Legend of Zelda item to add to your ever-expanding inventory. Oh, Hero of Tumblr, remember that is dangerous to go alone. Please, stay tuned for more Mystery Treasure Chests before venturing outside. Don´t leave the house without the proper tool and never face the Big Ending Boss without the Dungeon´s Convenient Item ;)
Poe Confession: They actually are very afraid of the dark and freak out when it´s night.
Well met, Hero of Tumblr! You have just stumbled upon another Treasure Chest. When darkness rises, a light shall ignite to oppose it. So it has been told and so it shall be. Our world is one of balance. When there is darkness, there is also light.

You´ve got the Deku Leaf Spread!
This spread can be used to soothe a rough landing. This past few weeks have been rough for all of us, and we all have needed time to regroup, to reassess and to reignite our commitment to the betterment of this world.
With that in mind, please shuffle the deck and lay down the following spread. This one is much less fuzzy than the others, but I hope it pack a powerful emotional punch and help you find your footing after a crisis.
THE READING:
This is the handle. Whatever you do, hold on to this and don´t let go. This will activate the power of the Deku Leaf Spread but you have to hold fast to it. Things might look dire, and they probably are, but that doesn´t mean that you cannot soothe your landing.
Call this magic, pray to it, evoke it, wear a symbol of it. This shall be your amulet. Use this to protect yourself. It might not be magical in nature, because this card´s intention is to connect you with something greater, which can be inside yourself as well. This can point to a talent or something sacred about you that will help you.
Remember this to ignite feelings of comfort and love. Search those feelings inside of you and remember them well. This shall give you strenght to continue. It´s not easy to suddenly be free falling, but if you hold on to this even gravity cannot harm you.
Avoid this. The Hero of Winds used this Deku Leaf many times. With its practical magic, the Hero could then take control of his landing, avoiding dangerous spots. So, in your case, please remember that if you can see the problems while free falling with the help of your Deku Leaf, you can most certainly avoid them in time. Be alert!
This represents the guiding wind blowing vigorously in your favor. This shall point the way for you to go, the things you need to do right now that have a better chance to get you to a safe and better place. This invisible current of spiritual wind is blowing in your favor. Follow it.
The Outcome. The place you need to aim your landing. Always remember through this time the metaphorical place depicted in this card. Do what you can to land here. This Outcome IS possible and well within the realm of possibilities. You just have to aim for it, keeping in mind that YOU are loved, YOU are blessed, and YOU are powerful and resilient.
Villanous Stalk and Talk Trick (aka Halloween Parade Spread!)
In villainy, it beehooves you knowing your Villains and stop and turn to them once in a while. Also, it´s fun letting them offer their point of view and alert you to some things happening or coming your way.
So, let the good times begin! Halloween isn´t over just yet. There are more wonderful things coming sooner than you think.
“I heard that they are going to demolish Mickey Mouse´s House and build more restrooms there”-- Cruella De Vil, chilling with the rest of the Villains as one does.
This way of using your this pseudo-spread can work in two ways: either alert you to which Villains is close, thus preventing you about possible events; and the other way would be if they want to share some knowledge with you.
To that end you can use this chart. Just search your deck for the Tarot Card that represent the Villain you want some Audience with and interpret the cards on either side of it.
Maleficent (The Tower): Say whatever you want about the Mistress of All Evil, if there is something to admire about her is how whenever she appears, it usually spells disaster to others. Such is her might. But, there is this order to the chaos, and sometimes darkness can be necessary. Darkness IS a part of life and that cannot be denied. Nothing good comes from hiding, bravery is required.
Jafar (The Magician): Your Sorcerer, someone that loves to dazzle you. Could be working in your favor, could be working against you! He knows deep magical secrets, knows how to change things, and he plots. He knows words have power, he knows seemingly little action does matter, and that people can be decieved. Could be someone near. Jafar can also offer some advice on making things happen.
The Evil Queen (Death): Queen Grimhilde embodies the transformation aspect of the card. If something needs changing, you can enact that change in others, in yourself or transform situations. If she is near, someone is changing for better or worse. If she is talking to you, she can tell you about making some changes.
Ursula (The Moon): She is all about appearences and illusions, deception, lies, and insecurities. You can go look for her and let her talk about things that bother you. Or it can happen that whenever she is nearby, things are not what they seem and you should be extra careful.
Captain Hook (The Emperor): Sure, dear old captain is no King. But, he takes care of his tripulation. His management skills get the ship floating. And even though he is not perfect, he knows a happy tripulation is a loyal one. So, if you like to ask him for some advice regarding managing a group of people, go for it. If he is nearby, there is someone with authoritiy running the show, usually behind your back.
Hades (The Hermit): Poor Hades, taking charge of the Underworld all on his own. He is not exactly alone, but he is not frolicking through the Olympus with the other Gods either. With time spent there, away from Pain and Panic´s usual inane chatting, he knows how to listen to oneself. If Hades is nearby you, rest assured a time like that is coming, and he knows how to deal with it.
Dr. Facilier (Justice): The movie let us to see a little bit of what drives him, just enough to understand why Facilier does what he does. There is obviously something much more deep and complex going on with him,, and even though he goes about it the wrong way, Facilier undeniably wants some Justice done. If he is nearby, consider that something unfair is coming. If you ask him, maybe he can lend a hand.
Cruella De Vil (The Chariot): Determination is not a trait that is easy to come by. As much as she is reckless, Cruella is determined to get what she wants. Such a force could be nearby if you find Cruella near. Could be a momentum that can propel you, or it could be the momentum that could ruin you.
Yzma (Judgment): Yzma does not stay quiet for so long. She is quick to voice her dissatisfaction and she values her opinions. That can go both ways: she is right about or or uterrly wrong because she is judging unfairly. That could be happening to you right now if Yzma is nearby. You could also let her offer an opinion on someone or something.
Chernabog (The Devil): Sure, Chernabog can command you, but only if you let him. Chernabog can scare you, dominate you, even intimidate you, but only if you let him. If he is nearby, better turn up your inner light, because you are going to need it.
Post-Mortem Analysis: Search your deck for you birth card (here is a good helpful link to calculate your birth card: http://littleredtarot.com/numerology-and-tarot-birth-cards/). And then take notice of which of the Ten Major Arcana Cards listed above is nearer your Birthcard. That is the Villain that represent that which is coming to get you.
A Word of Caution: Said villains can also be searched for in the deck individually. You could ask them for advice, their opinions or even help. Just remember, whatever relationship you want with them it has to be based on mutual respect.
“We are all in this togetheeeeeeer!”-- A Villainous rendition from High School Musical.
“I have to store it inside the fridge because this book it´s just too hot for this world”--Maleficent.
In villainy, nothing is much more wonderful than having your own spellbook. Owning a spellbook it´s an experience unsurpassed by any other. That book has all kinds of secrets, knowledge, power, lore, instructions, recipes, incantations and raw magical energy to tap into for years to come.
Thanks to Mal, Evie, Jay, Carlos and Ben, that book is safe and secure in the hands of its owner, which is not necessarily a good thing (at least if your name is Pete and you have just made a fool out of yourself).
So, in the spirit of Halloween, the Mistress of All Evil wants you to have a close enough copy of it to use whenever you want to cast a spell or create a ritual or have a fun read.
A Special Thanks: Ever since I began reading tarot and oracle cards, one of the things that fascinated the most me were the spreads. Sure, I learned the basic ones, the ones that everyone knew about. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that the spreads were boundaries to be pushed and experimented with. And I think playing and letting your imagination fly is how you discover wonderful new things that look great and really work. So this spread was inspired by one such person who I admire and that´s “GRIMOIRE OF GEEKERY”. I will be forever thankful because the spreads published there inspired me to create my own and to play with my cards. This spread is inspired by his wonderful “Grimoire Spread”. Both of us just love books of spells. I share with Grimoire of Geekery that fascination with the stories where such books make an apparence. So thanks, Grimoire of Geekery. Keep on shining. I´m sure I´m not the only one you have inspired to think outside the box which is what Pop Culture Magick is all about. Thank you so much! #truefairytale ;)
“Stand back, you fools!”--Maleficent.
First, shuffle the cards telling them what is it you want to accomplish. You can either ask for a specific spell OR you can ask the book to provide you with its best suggestion. Either way, you are about to open the spellbook. Place the deck in front of you and open it like you would a book. The first card from the pile that´s still left on the surface is the first card in the spread below. The ones that follow are to be placed in this order: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, H1, H2, H3, A, B, C and O.
First, let´s read the Recipe.
1. What spell it is? You will know this because the card depicted is the outcome of the spell, the effect. If it is something about disaster (like The Tower) it’s safe to assume it´s a curse. I suggest that you understand that even The Tower can mean anything, like destroying a couple´s relationship if that´s what you asked the book to provide. It depends on what is depicted and on what you asked the book to do for you.
2. Type of Spell or Ritual: Generally speaking, if a Major Arcana Card shows up, then your Spell is mostly just Spoken, meaning it just needs an incantation. If a Cup shows up here, it means you need to enchant some tea. The Pentacles represent crystal work. The Sword suggest Sigil Work or Meditative Work to accomplish your goal. The Wands indicate Candle Magick. It also offers you a clue as to what additional preparationa you will need to perform this spell, like blessing your tools beforehand with a suggested energy. The next card does something similar; you can check that one out for more ideas.
3. Ingredients: Here you can find a clue to what you need to get. It can go many ways, so use your intuition. It can signal a feeling to empower the spell, a secondary item to add (following the same set of meanings from the last card). It can even suggest a color, enlisting the help of more witches, a particular essence, a place to do the spell. Again, your intuition here reigns supreme. This card could also be suggesting words that must be included in your incantation if the spell requires so.
4. Intention: The main intention to set forth at the beginning of your magickal work. It can also mean the kind of spirit or force of nature you should be calling for (Cups=Water; Swords=Air; Pentacles=Earth; Wands=Fire). If it´s an entity or a spirit, notice what is happening in the card and try to associate it with a known spirit you work with or are familiar with. If spirit work is not your cup of tea, you can get by just calling forth the elemental power depicted here. Or do without any of those suggestions altogether!
5. Time of Day: This one is self-explanatory. Do take notice of the moon phase if the card depicts one. You can choose instead waiting for said moon phase. If it does not make sense, go with your intuition.
6. Components: Look at the card and see what the people depicted there are doing. Are they getting physical or are the talking or remaining quite? You need to imitate them.
“My mother´s Spellbook DOES have a Spell for everything!”--Mal the first time she got her hands on the book.
Now we shall deal with the Honorary Variables:
H1: A price to pay or a condition to be met.
H2: Potential Unforseen Consequences or Additional Unaccounted Variables
H3: Things to avoid.
O: The Outcome of your spell. Interpret it as positive as you can. If it is a negative card than cannot be spin into something good and the book was talking about a curse, assume this is what the intended target will experience.
STORIES/EXAMPLES:
You can look up for an example about this sort of spell, a story where this spell came into action in Maleficent´s life. Maleficent did wrote a lot about all the spells she used. Reading these little stories can inspire you or show you additional things to consider when using this spell.
A: This is the Problem that made Maleficent decide to look for a spell to do something about it.
B: This is the Action she took, the spell being cast. It shows the moment of day, the energy summoned, the emotions felt, the ingredients used, the components she used, etc.
C: This is the Outcome for Maleficent. Depending if the outcome was a success or a failure, you can infer why the book is suggesting different things. Maybe the time of day was off, maybe it was the wrong color, maybe it was the wrong tool, maybe it was the wrong moon phase, or maybe she failed to feel a certain way. Or maybe it was a success and Maleficent knows that some things can be tweaked here and there to make the spell work even better. Pay attention.
“Do I look like I´m kidding? Beware, fore swear, my spellbook might give a scare!”--Mal.
Post-Mortem Analysis: This spread will work, but that´s because I think it brings forth knowledge from the best source of magickal knowledge there is: you. Yes, I do believe we have unlimited potential for magickal work, hidden somewhere inside our unconscious. I do believe this is the part that knows how magic works and how to make things happen. We usually have a very difficult time connecting and communicating with our unconscious because it communicates with symbols. This spread facilitates that communication. Every time you go with your gut feeling, that´s you unconscious going “if you do this, I can make it totally work”, or “you know?, when you use the red color, I strongly connect immediately with such and such idea, so that will help you make this spell work better for you”. This is my interpretation of the theory behind it. We are our best spellbook and we do have a spell for every occasion, we just don´t know how to tap into that knowledge. That´s why there is no better spell for you to try than one created by yourself, that´s because you had a better communication with that part inside of you that knows magick.
A Word of Caution: I totally understand if this spread is a little bit overwhelming. I recommend grounding yourself before attempting it. Just be relaxed and approach it as something fun to do.
