Select Basketball this past weekend with @ctxattack playing in the @riseuptournaments! Trinity’s @ctxattackselect varsity squad is young but full of potential. Made up of mostly freshmen, a sophomore and a junior...played in a decent varsity division. Kayla’s playing a grade up on our 8th Grade Squad and played up in the 9th grade division @riseuptournaments. Playing up a level or two is extremely beneficial, if you truly work on Player Development. Playing in your age division might bring you wins...but those wins could come against younger teams playing up in your age bracket. Some AAU/Select teams promote wins from tournaments who had competitive younger teams in their bracket. I saw @nike_cyfair_elite_houston 7th grade squad win games in the 9th grade girls division this weekend @riseuptournaments Want your kid(s) to excel? Play the elite team or in an older division. Do not falsely stroke your kid(s) ego and definitely don’t falsely stroke yours, by playing in divisions against young teams! Don’t coach from the stands please, you’ve paid money to allow the coaches to coach your child(s). Don’t like the coach after joining? Live with your choices and support your child to keep their commitment for the remainder of that season. Quitting early with only teach them to be in content, not loyal and they will never stick thing out during tough times. Lastly, do not live through or embarrass your child(s) from the stands, during the car ride home, etc. Let them know how proud you are of them and praise their effort. After all, it’s their game...not yours. #CenTexAttack #PCACentralTexas #PGC #BetterAthletesBetterPeople #GetOnePercentBetterEverday #SCHAPE #RoyalsNation #AverageSkillPhenomalWill #LoveTheGame #LoveTheGrind #LoveChrist #InJesusNameWePlay #BeASupportNotAHinderance (at Georgetown High School)
