PCOSconfession 328:
I was diagnosed when I was 16, I'm now 23 and after years of being on and off the pill, I am having the most awful, heavy period. I can't go to work, I can't go out, my girlfriend has no idea what it's like because she is 'normal' and has a period every month, I actually get jealous of her. I also have anxiety which is exacerbated by the PCOS because I worry so much that I'm going to get something horrible. It's in my thoughts constantly, and I'm putting on weight due to the pill. Advice please?
QUESTION: How can I reply to a confession?
ANSWER: There are many ways.
1. For some confessions which contain a question for advice from others I usually try to remember to add the REPLY box (you know...when you make a post, you tick the "let people answer this" option) So some posts have the ANSWER BOX at the end of the post with Got an answer for PCOSconfessions? written inside. You just type your message there. This option, of course, has limits. There's a character limit for the ask box. Also..this way your name (blog name) is seen, so you cannot remain anonymous.
2. You just send a regular message via the ask box. And add to which confession # you are replying to. This option let's you stay anon. No matter if you actually send your reply message as anon or not anon, I will be posting it without information who sent it. Just as "anonymous" advice. And I'll just publish it then. This of course works only if the person sending the confession comes back later to the blog to read the new posts.
PS. Since most of the confessions received are anonymous, and I post everything in anon, I cannot usually play "matchmaker" and direct the person who has advice/a reply to the person asking for advice/a question. Only exceptions are when there are some submissions where the person has made clear they don't mind publishing it under their own name, I have posted a few things non-anon. But since I do not know who sent which confession usually (cause they're anon), I cannot even ask the person if they'd want to get a reply directly to their ask box. So you're best bet are the two options mentioned at the beginning of this post .
