This is especially important when engaging in PC troubleshooting. For example, if you have computer speed issues, is there anything, in particular, that is running slow? Do you remember when this slowness started? Has anything changed about your setup? Having as much detail as possible when calling for tech support will make the process more efficient, and get you up and running sooner, ensuring business continuity!
When you're talking to asus support and tell them you're problem and he says he will be right back. But he never comes back.
Ubuntu the saviour!
Yesterday I was web surfing on my laptop and one of my suppliers sent me an email saying they had products that I could get in bulk for a discount as thanks for my loyalty to them, So i turned on my desktop computer and waited for it to boot up and....nothing. I got the usual disk repair dialogue box asking if I want to repair the damaged hardrive so of course I clicked yes but no repairs could be found. So I started to go into panic mode, had I lost all the contents that were on my OS hardrive? would I have to pay for a new hardrive and operating system? ALL THE UN-ANSWERED QUESTIONS BOGGLING IN MY HEAD...Sorry for shouting. So luckily before I became an aspiring fashion design I was a Techy nerd who repaired pc's and built them, So i went to this site called 'Ubuntu' which is a free operating system that you can download onto memory or disk and install it from there and thats just what I did, downloaded it to a memory stick and install system that had been dying a slow and painful death this past month had finally crashed and was no longer booting Currently, I'm living off Ubuntu and going back and fourth between my desktop with Ubuntu and my laptop with windows Vista. I just want to shout out Ubuntu and LINUX as a whole because this is the first time I have actually used Ubuntu as a long term replacement for windows in over a year and they really have improved so much of the UI(user interface) and they have made the whole experience with the OS so user friendly! Even though by the end of this week or the beginning of next I will be moving back to windows because Ubuntu doesnt have photoshop :'( but I may keep the partition on this hardrive to always have Ubuntu because I defiantly think its a system worth having on a home system just sharing a little tale from my life and I hope you keep supporting the brand through our store: http://hindsculture.bigcartel.com/ and the Youtube page: http://www.youtube.com/user/HindsCulture/videos?flow=grid&view=0 #HC
