GERALT     OF     RIVIA,     THE     WHITE     WOLF,     THE     BUTCHER     OF     BLAVIKEN,    THE     RARE     SOUL     WHO     HOLDS     DORCAS’    HEART.      we  all  have  our  nicknames.       we     have     followed     one     another     forever     &     we     talked     some     when     you     rodolphus     lestrange,     but     it     was     geralt     that     made     us     become     a     more     consistent     dynamic.      honestly,     bless     you     for     enduring     all     my     rants     &     essays     of      half     baked     ideas     that     i     throw     your     way      on     discord.     broadly     speaking     :     i     want     to     say     that     i     love     you     &     every     character     that     you     make.      now,     let’s      get     to      the     specifically      speaking.      i      love,     love,      love      your      geralt.      this      should      not     come     as     a     surprise      at      all     considering      the     before      mentioned      discord     chats.     i     am     here     to     hear      your      dissections      of      him      as      you     investigate      all      the      nooks      &      crannies.      you      know,      i      am      a      slut      for     character      development      &      pulling      back      layers.       honestly,     I      WANT      TO     KNOW      EVERYTHING.      insert      a      picture      of      me      with      my     hand      tucked     between      my      chin       &       clavicle,       waiting       eagerly.     the      way      you      take     care     of     your      muse      &      keep      him      true      to      his      character      is      always     awe   -    inspiring      to      see.      my      personal      weakness      in      writing      is      dialogue     &      i      can      hear      geralt’s      voice      in       your      dialogue.      through      your      prose,      i      can      envision      his      movements,      gestures       &      facial      expressions     as      if      i      am      watching      it      on      a      screen.     finally,      because      i      can     write      you      a      dissertation      on      how      much      i      love      you      &      geralt,      i     am      in      love      with      the      dynamic      of      geralt      &      dorcas      throughout      our     many      verses     &      aus.      i      covet      how      they      interact      with      one      another     to      how      they      simply      grow      in      the      other’s      presence      throughout      the     years.      it      has       become      very      important       to       her       own      character      &      how      has      morphed      how       she       sees      love.      i      am      blown      away      by      it.    geralt      is      honestly     the      love      of      her      life      &      he     better     know      it.     lastly,     i     love      you.

                           nervous  fingers  fiddle  with  his  tie’s  knot,      anxious  cerulean  hues  sweeping  around  quickly.      suit  is  more  difficult  to  wear  than  his  uniform,      movements  are  restrained,      no  reason  for  it  but  the  need  to  present  well.      chatters  all  around  him,      people  with  jewels      &&      fake  smiles,      he’s  at  a  fundraiser  for  sure.      hands  are  forced  into  warm  pockets,      gaze  trying  to  find  a  familiar  face.      a  smile,      blonde  locks      --      shit,      he  didn’t  know  she  would  be  here.      quickly,      rogers  turns,      walking  straight  into  another  person.      blue  hues  find  a  face  he  knows,      confusion  expressed  by  a  frown.         ❛  hello,  i’m  captain  rogers.  ❜         hand  is  extended,      accompanied  with  a  smile      --      man  smells  like  money      &&      he  does  need  it  for  the  company.      but  he’s  pretty  he’s  seen  that  guy  before.

          funny, how he’d never noticed how big this world truly is; how the bird tricks himself into believing there’s nothing else beyond the bars of the cage. Budapest paled in comparison to anywhere in America, however... even the most modest locations of it. which was both amazing and terrifying, especially for one learning how to become human again. yet he was trying --- making himself go out for something as simple as a mindless walk for ten minutes, buying a coffee mug he actually liked the design of rather than the first one coming to hand, stopping midway to pet a cat on top of a wall, just generally doing whatever it is that normal people do---

          ---and accidentally walking into someone else, in the middle of a busy street, was normal just as much. granted, he could have easily not cared and continued his own way (as is, the last remnants of PARANOIA begging him to do so)... yet decided against it and, to at least, offer this stranger some form of apology. only the stranger was no stranger at all, and rather a very, very much familiar face ---goddamn it, even his left arm twitched in unconscious recollection--- that he wouldn’t have expected ever to find... let alone in such spontaneous, mundane circumstances. stopping, then, hands came to find his hoodie’s pockets as an awkward-ish smile did the same to his lips.

It had been a pretty bizarre few days. Not to blow her own horn, but May wasn’t unused to being pursued by men. But it wasn’t often that playing hard to get won her a vacation to Italy before either had even uttered the word boyfriend or girlfriend. Hell, she wasn’t even sure Tony realised that she did actually like him at all yet. She certainly hadn’t given him much of that impression. But he had insisted on treating her to this, explicit that he wasn’t expecting anything in return. He had said she needn’t even spend time with him while they were away, if she didn’t want to. He was going to Italy, knew she had always wanted to go but had never left the states before, and she wasn’t able to say no. She had tried, but failed. 

She had done her own thing mostly, for the first day, only eating with him in the evening. But as the fourth day ended, she had found she had spent more and more time with him, and the feelings she had been trying to push down only kept growing. He wasn’t what she had thought he was. Sure, he was still the heir apparent to a company she had protested against on many an occasion, but he was much more than that besides. They were more alike than she ever would have expected. Had some similar ways of looking at the world. 

The dinner that evening had been spectacular, the conversation had flowed perfectly, and May couldn’t help but notice how butterflies in her stomach fluttered every time they laughed or smirked, and she felt nothing short of giddy on the walk home. She had coyly told him her room number in the hotel too, before she realised the words were out of her mouth. She told him he could come to her later, if he wanted, if he could do so without his security know anything about it. The slight smile on his face was taken as agreement. 

And she waited for him. Agonisingly. Until the knock finally came, and all thoughts of holding back or hesitation were gone. She gave in, rewarded him for his sheer determination and all his efforts, and for just being him. Dress unzipped and dropped to the floor, shirt thrown in an unseen direction, and both of them forgot everything. It didn’t matter that she had spent the last few weeks pretending to not be able to stand him. It didn’t matter what his name was or what his father did. It was just the two of them, and they stayed together the entire night. A thin layer of sweat on the two of them in the afterglow, and a scent that was simply them. Again and again, they came together, until Tony drifted off. 

May couldn’t help but look at him, and wonder if this was the start of something special.
