One day I’d like to be at peace with myself. To be able to take a shower and not think twice about if the water is splashing me or if it’s my tears. I wish to be able to dream about dying but picture it as a nightmare instead. I hope to be able to come to terms with the fact that I’ll never know why you tried to hurt our family or why certain people decided to walk away. I want to be able to look up at the stars while I walk and admire the worlds beauties instead of staring at my feet, questioning how they’re still managing to keep stepping forward. I want to be able to sing around the house again and just be better, because I deserve that.
