Is Peach gone?

Okay, a slightly serious post. If you didn't know, I am not the official Peach App blog, that was actually @peachapp-blog but they were inactive long enough that they lost the url. I am/was just a regular user so I cannot actually answer if the app is gone forever. I've not found a concrete answer yet.

But there are currently some alternatives made by Peach users.

A cozy social space for close friends. Share moments, stay connected, feel safe.

Neko.maison is fairly new but as a long time Peach user, it feels quite similar to the Peach. Since the site is new and strives to keep out spam, it is presently invite only. But once in, you have 5 invites codes to share with your friends. The dev is also working on an app version.

egge - the social messaging app where you can connect with friends and express yourself.

Egge has been around for a couple years now and it was actually the first place I turned when looking for a Peach alternative I knew. There is an app and no waitlist. It does have a bit of a Peach feel. You can select who your close friends are and whether you'd like your posts public, friends only or private.

I know a bunch of Peach users who have turned to the above alternatives. They may not be for everyone and there's probably some other apps that are good too. But these are the closest I've found. Peach out 🍑☮️

Idk if anyone here on Tumblr still uses the Peach app, but here's a bit of a PSA: If you have a Mac with an Apple Silicon processor, you can run the Peach app on it as macOS on these devices can run iPhone apps!

dunno if anyone uses peach app anymore but i’m trying to utilize more peaceful social media’s in my life rather than ig, tiktok, & snapchat.
