Hi everyone ♡ So at last I got around making a giffing tutorial and I’ve decided for it to be a video one since explaining it in words may be too complicated. This method might be complicated for some but I wanted to share my own way of doing it. You are welcome to ask questions, in my askbox or youtube comments - I’ll answer. Of course! I am going to use a Jake Peralta gifset I’m working on with the bi colors but it’s obviously the exact same concept. 

1) I would suggest using a scene with not a lot of movement because the more movement, the more work it will be.

2) Start off how you would with any other gif: load your frames, resize, sharpen and color. I like to try and bring out the colors that will be in the gradient. So, in the David gifset I tried to bring out some more pinks, yellows, and blues and in this gifset I’m going to try to bring out more blues, pinks, and purples.

3) Now this is when we do the gradient! You can add your colors and then play around with it some if you want to change the way the colors blend (if that makes sense).

You’ll might want to change the angle, these are the settings I used for this one:

4) Then you’re going to change the mode of the gradient layer, I find ‘color’ works the best.

4) Now you are going to use the paint brush to erase the parts of the mask you don’t want colored by the gradient map. Use the paintbrush with black color and 0% hardness. If you accidentally erase part of the gradient map that you want colored, you can use the white paintbrush to retrieve the gradient map. 

5) While there are some gifs where the gradient map will be fine throughout the entire gif, this one has some movement so I’m going to have to make multiple gradient map layers.

So the gif ends up looking like this:

I’d probably end up playing with it a little more, but that’s the gist of it. I wouldn’t suggest doing a gif with much more movement because it can get really tedious and annoying. I usually try to use a gif with less movement just because I’m lazy and get annoyed spending too much time on it lol. If you have anymore questions, just send me another ask :)

Então galera, o saturngallery bateu mais uma meta e eu resolvi trazer um pack com screencaps de 23 séries. Eu estou muito feliz mesmoooo, pq o saturn começou como acervo pessoal, eu postava as fotos pra salvar e editar depois, só que o tumblr foi crescendo e se tornando uma galeria pra ajudar quem também edita. Logo depois tive ajuda de algumas meninas aqui e hoje somos só eu e a Nic, mas eu agradeço de coração por cada uma que passou por aqui ♥  Eu espero que esse pack ajude vocês. (lista com o nome das séries que estão no pack) OBS: Estou fazendo um pack somente com originais da Netflix, por isso eles não estão no pack.
