Peacock Worm (Sabella pavonina)

...is a species of tube building polychaete worm found off the coasts of the eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean. It gets the name peacock worm due to its two fans of feathery tentacles (which look like a peacocks tail) which the worm uses to collect passing food particles. Like most tube building worms the peacock worm lives exclusively in a tube made of mud and sand that are bonded together with the worms mucus.
