grah the pebble app for my old smartwatch has started crashlooping on my phone after i updated it a few days ago, and it's really frustrating to just. have half of the functionality of the whole reason i wear this watch cut off. and i can't even find anywhere to just submit a bug report, and no one else seems to be having the same issue.
i hate the mobile ecosystem, i can't fucking debug this at all
Ayo, Pebble watches are back!? And my watch from a decade ago works with the updated app?? Hell yea!!
Pebble 2 Duo
I received my new watch today! It's the Pebble 2 Duo, and I like it a lot more than the Google Pixel Watch 3 I borrowed. This is primarily because the e-ink screen is always showing the time. It looks dim in the picture, but that's with no backlight - still readable!
The open source software still has some bugs, but nothing that has ruined my enjoyment so far.
I got into the new Pebble app beta 🥳
Deep inside Google, a signed update makes the smartwatch 64-bit-Android ready.
It saddens me that we didn't embrace this smartwatch future. Between the Round and 2nd-gen designs, loved the direction Pebble was going.
