As a recently new Chicagoan I'd like to hear more about this free-floating stained glass museum in the pedway. I'm also terrified of the traffic downtown XD
The traffic is to be feared!
I actually took a little detour while I was at my doctor's office recently to see if the stained glass museum was still in the pedway, because of this ask! It is, still the weirdest place for it.
For those in Chicago who are interested, you can access it by either taking the pedway towards the metra station from the red line Lake stop, or going into the basement of the downtown Macy's and passing through the luggage section to the pedway exit. The glasses are very pretty, so it's well worth a visit, and easier to get to than the other branch on Navy Pier, if that one is even still there anymore. And the pedway is kind of fun to explore, if frequently also kind of smelly.
