Join us for the kickoff reading, discussion and reception for local poet and scholar Jonathan Blunk as he debuts his definitive new work "James Wright: A Life in Poetry.”
Thirty years in the making, “James Wright” is the authorized and sweeping biography of one of America’s most complex, influential and enduring poets.
Books will be available for purchase and Anne Wright will also be in attendance and available for discussion.
Jonathan Blunk is a poet, critic, essayist, and radio producer. His work has appeared in The Nation, Poets and Writers, The National Review, and elsewhere. He and his wife, the sculptor Sarah Haviland, have lived in the Peekskill/Cortlandt area for more than 24 years. Their daughter, Emma, now a senior at Swarthmore College, was born in Peekskill and spent much of her childhood in the Field Library Children’s Room.
