killer ref! My poncho guy :) I’ve been working on some Dust refs and have been posting them to my Dusttale blog(daily-dusttale), and now I got killer-man here. I also put him and my version of color up on ArtFight, but I didn’t really make a full ref for color lol, sorry buddy. I’m working on Horror’s, NM’s, and my own little AfterDream shipkid refs instead.
Maaaaannnnnnnn, I really need to rewrite Peeled Apple. The plot points are fine, just the way I characterize the characters has changed a bit.
Firstly, Killer just. He needs to be rewritten. Not his personality, it’s pretty Fanon!Killer-ish, but that’s on purpose. Just the first chapter with his POV kinda sucks imo. Besides it being short, I could just write it better ngl.
Dust(Mur my boy) I’ve gotten a lot more solid with. Especially ever since I’ve been doing Dusttale-Daily, I know him pretty well now. I need to make him more somber. And more of a troll.
HORROR, Horror my guy. I’ve only very recently gotten down what I want for him. You see, even though he’s been with Nightmare for the least amount of time—a year—Nightmare’s had the most amount of impact on him compared to the others. He’s fancier✨ and “well mannered” now. Among other things, but this specific version of Horror is Different.
Nightmare(Mare) NEEDS his Title case. Which Looks Like This. He’s the type of person to have all of his words be of importance. This rubbed off on Horror a bit, where when he wants to stress something as important, He’ll switch to Title case.
Passive!NM(Night) needs to be more blood thirsty. And also interact with the others more. And just be a bit worse of a person. I don’t want him to seem terrible, but definitely not as innocent as I portrayed him as already.
I also need to make the whole memory loss issue with Night more clear. I had it be both actual memory loss, and also Night just pretending to have memory loss. I’m just gonna rework it to Night just fully pretending to not know what’s going on. It works better that way. He still doesn’t know how he’s in control of his body again, but when we get to his first POV chapter, the whole “sending Night away” mechanic that Mare does will be explained.
Anyways, that’s all I wanna do rn for Peeled Apple. I’ll redesign Horror first, and then put him in a height/ref sheet with Mur and Killer. And then I’ll put Mare and Night in a height chart with ‘em. That’s all gonna take a while, but that’s just what I wanna do. I’ll start rewriting after or during that, maybe. I dunno, writing takes a lot time lol
Still working on Peeled Apple, I’m just also in a fanfic writing event for another fandom so I’ve mostly been doing that, but I’ve been able to do a bit for it.

Dust is having a horrible time :)
Chapter 5 of Peeled Apple should be done tomorrow! Just making sure everything is not terrible(although Dust is having a terrible time lol). And I get to badmouth the smell of kimchi, god bless america, caw caw and what not. But yeah, plot is plotting, and Dust wishes he was dusting. Now I just gotta reread my fic(blegh) to make sure characterization is actually consistent haaaa……
wait wait wait how did my fic get to over 1,000 notes and over 100 kudos????? Wowzers, that’s great! Makes me happy that so many people were interested in my fic and that over 100 people apparently liked it :) Hurray! I guess I’ll put the link to Peeled Apple here as well :D
