thinking abt american woodcock
I couldn't find the pattern I wanted so I had to make my own. The contrast between the yarns isn't quite what I wanted but is true to the birds at least!
This is the most excited I've been about a knitting project in awhile.
truly at a loss for words right now. i was on an extremely popular trail but there was absolutely no one else in sight. the silence was almost profound. i glanced off the boardwalk to my left and there it was, looking at me. i snapped my photos in disbelief and looked around, hoping for anyone else to show up, to share. no one?? for several minutes?? it turned away into the bushes, my little secret. soon after, people began to pass by again. i feel like i saw a unicorn.
