This morning at work, a regular at our store came up to my register and said, "Do you have a twin?" He mentioned how I look exactly like this person on an ad he saw for a sales corp thing. I laughed and said, "Well I'm the only me I know!" He was still convinced and I said that I was curious. He told me, "I'll print out a picture for you and show it to you next time!" Five minutes later he brought me this picture. I don't see it, but I guess since I'm a young Asian girl, any Asian girl on an ad looks like me. Oh, Orinda... "How many stalkers do you have?!" my coworker said.

I had a mini freak-out the other day when I realized I had gained weight. "I've never weighed this much in my life! Is there something wrong with this scale? I haven't been getting enough sleep!" My weight has generally stayed within the same range since high school and college, fluctuating throughout periods of time but always returning back to normal. I've been working up to 30-40 hours a week at work now, and I've been doing more moving around lately--working the bar, constantly lifting and moving machinery, unpacking boxes and whipping my body around for those morning rushes. I went for a mad walk to lighten the load, and felt my muscles tense up. My brother realized that it's probably muscle weight from all the heavy-duty lifting and moving I've done at work. Me: Awww.

Me: “I’m off!” My Manager: “Oh no, you can’t leave. You’re like rainbows. You’re always so happy.” Ha. Attitude is everything. 🌈👍

Today at work, we were figuring out drinks that would describe each other.

“You’re not a cold one,” one of my coworkers said. “And you’re not a basic black coffee.”

“You’re always just wearing t-shirts, unlike this one,” my coworker said, pointing to my other coworker wrapped up in a jacket.

Later, one of them mentioned, “I feel like you would be a single shot soy latte with one pump vanilla.”

“Haha. Really? Why do you say that?”

“Well, it’s because you’re sweet and warm and you have a little something extra special about you,” she said.

“Awww,” I said. “Well thank you. What’s funny is that I think I would drink exactly that, too.”

"Can I get a medium latte?" a customer asked. "How many shots comes in that?" "Two...?" I said. I motioned towards my coworker working the bar. "A medium has two shots, right?" "Yes," he said. "You already know that!" I've asked several times already. "One day she'll learn," he said to the customer. I laughed. "Just making sure! You never know (with customers)!" I handed the lady her change. "Maybe I doubt myself too much," I continued. "Well don't do that," he said. "One day you'll know everything and be a wise-ass like me!"

It seems working at Peet's has done miracles to my schedule. I'm up before sunrise. The caffeine ups my metabolism. I have enough energy to work out in the day. I still have the whole day to seize. #Productivity 💪☕️
