juxtapositions of a reading life: Disney

Last night: I started Peggy Orenstein's Cinderella Ate My Daughter (fabulous so far) and was so intrigued with the chapter on Disney princesses, a phenomenon that sprang up after my childhood.

Today: Grading my students' proposed research topics. One student wants to research Pocahontas because she's her favorite Disney character and compare the Disney version with reality.
