something I thought is that they could have made her a winner who fell from heaven due to some sin she committed there and led her to end her life and be reborn in hell, then she met Charlie and they started dating, then the idea of the hotel to redeem sinners is on the table, vaggie is up to the idea because she wants to help Charlie plus see if she can help others just like she did so people who genuinely regret their mistakes/ harmful choices and can still redeem them to get a second chance in the afterlife, and chance she lost back in heaven for her sin.

Vaggie wouldn't really tell Charlie her past, due that vaggie is really ashamed of what she did, and her idea that she missed her only chance, she trusts Charlie, but she doesn't want to relive her past, so she puts all her efforts in the hotel and to guide Charlie sometimes out of concern and determination.

Also, her name would be vaggie, her human name would be soledad.
