When you’re 10 years old and had frequent trips to the Orthodontist office, and their old Springfield Avenue location had a Sega game console in the waiting room area, and the farthest you’ve ever gotten in playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was some Chemical Plant Zone with water…you’d think that playing Super Mario Land 2 for the OG Game Boy made you believe that Sonic could swim like Mario could.
