Pendant lantern Jacques Simon, Carnegie Library of Reims, FRANCE
Pair of American brass and wrought iron hanging gasolier lanterns with centered bulbous iron spheres, scrolled side arms supporting upper chains, vented tops, four panel glass sides, and terminating on a decorative scrolled lower brackets with centered tapered finials, Mid-19th century. Lanterns were originally gas and have been electrified. Pair are in working condition.
Charming brass and glass pendant/lantern from the 1940s. A 'lyre' shaped brass body with cast brass finial holds a satinated glass diffuser with enameled pinstripe decor. Fine original condition with a nice patina on the brass. One original brass E27 socket with new wiring. Height without the chains is approx. 12inches/30cm.
This large kitchen features crisp white walls and ceilings, contrasted by a rich stained wood floor. Do you like the pendant lantern lighting?
