Do you think the doctor who mtg set is a good one?

yeah i think it is kind of the platonic ideal of a good UB product to me. ofc i am biased but like... it didn't produce any pushed cards that became staple anywhere, just a bunch of useful synergy pieces for weird and niche archetypes that probably would never have gotten any support at all otherwise... it was a set of commander precons and so was able to focus on weird evocative designs that could be a bit haphazard rather than squeezing a bunch of recognizable ip objects into draft chaff...

my only two real complaints are--well, i think there's a bit of an inherent tension between doctor who and the idea of 'attacking', yknow, that's kind of baked in... and the commander precon format means they ahd to make some awful compromises on color identity (azorius second doctor?!) and also had to really stretch to find stuff for the 12/13 deck (who has ever wanted to see the memory worms from time heist in magic the gathering). but overall i think its kind of the perfect UB product if they have to exist at all
