LucidDreamingAdvice
(I’ve had a re-occurring habit in last couple of Lucid dreams, so I thought I’d share this lesson:)
When you have the Ah ha! moment in your dream, it is important to stabilize the dream by reminding yourself “I am inside a Dream.” The physical sensations in a Lucid Dream can sometimes feel so REAL that we get carried away and fall back into a normal dream, or wake up.
Once you DO stabilize the dream, remember that you’re actions are ONLY limited by what you THINK will happen. When we’re awake, we’re obviously following the laws of physics and such, but in the dream, we follow our “laws of Belief.”
If you believe that Gravity exists in the dream, then you’ll be restrained by it and fall if you jump. If you believe that you have to walk to your destination, then you’ll spend your time putting one foot in front of the other…
BUT, if you remind yourself that this is all generated by your Thoughts, you can experiment with freedom.
My very first realization of this was once, I started a dream in my kitchen, but wanted to go look in a mirror to see what might happen. SO, I turned toward the direction of my bathroom, pictured the mirror in my head, and just leaned in that direction. I felt an odd “zoom in” camera effect, and then POOF! I was in the bathroom, staring in the mirror.
I didn’t have to WALK to the bathroom, I didn’t even have to navigate my house, I simply needed to remind myself to Calm Down, and focus on where I wanted to go.
Whenever you want to do something weird or impossible, but have doubts as to “What if I can’t?” Simply remind yourself “This IS a DREAM. Physics don’t exist…”
If you need extra help concentrating in the dream, say your thoughts outloud. It puts extra focus on that thought AND you’ll hear yourself saying the command.
Planning the goal or experiment when you’re AWAKE is also extremely helpful, that way it’ll come to you automatically “Oh! A dream? That’s right, i wanted to…!” And of course, it only gets easier with practice, so make it fun. :3
Hope that helps!
