The Papaver somniferum (opium poppy) were creating some drama at the Royal Horticultural Society Chelsea Show, London, in black and white varieties. After flowering this annual forms a decorative seed capsule providing an autumn and winter display.

Plant of the Day Tuesday 30 May 2017

On the Pennard Plant display at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, London, was this dwarf bush tomato Solanum lycopersicum ‘Patio Plum’. The plant produces an abundance of trusses of 3 to 5, small plum fruits with a well-balanced flavour. It has a long cropping season which can be extended by moving container grown plants on to a windowsill or into a conservatory for November and December.

I got these tomato seeds from @plantspennard to try as I wanted cherry tomatoes but in a small space as growing in a Vegtrug these look perfect as they grow approx 12 inches high in a bush style. Good and fast service from the company.
