it infuriates me that such a bland artist can be wildly successful simply by being along for the ride. ringo's net worth? 350 million dollars. ringo starr gets to be Ringo Starr and he's just so shit it makes me irrationally mad.

Your bat is the Painted Bat (Kerivoula picta)!

Aside from being the epitome of Halloween, these little guys are pretty solitary, preferring to roost is smaller groups of 2-6 bats. During reproduction, they seem to form smaller family units, consisting of a mother, father, and pup. They hunt insects using echolocation for around 1-2 hours a night and then basically do a mini hibernation during the day known as aestivation (it's basically like torpor in northern mammals like bears and cool-weather bats, but this is the warm, arid-weather version). Basically, they get really, really sluggish and grumpy if you wake them up. Like me (@ my cat, come on dude, 3 am????).

I feel that it is worth noting that these bats are hugely at-risk for being illegally harvested and taxidermized. Or sold as pets. If you ever see one for sale online, it is almost certain that that animal was not obtained ethically and the site should be reported immediately. (Other bats are also at-risk for this and should also be reported, but Painted Bats are particularly at-risk due to their unique coloring.)

What’s your favorite movie

I don't really have a favorite — I am not very into movies.

I did once watch "Coraline," for like 20 minutes in high school. And "Tron," which was good but in a "it doesn't have enough of a plot to really work as a movie" way.

ohhh shit bro, that’s one of the Big Ones. one of the few ships i have where theres been like a bagillion words worth of fanfic written on them

its hard to know what to say. they’re just so Iconic, ya know

a friendship, love and rivalry spanning decades

they’re legit on the same side, but have diff methods so that makes shit wonky. i imagine they’re so connected, that like, it’s a destiny thing. like i headcanon that charles and erik were literally born the exact same second. its like a “they ~complete~ each other” thing

i also kinda treat their love as like, a drug addiction, sometimes? like, when i wanna take it down a dark interpretation. a legit they can’t quit each other thing. they’re actually kiiinda bad for each other?

but like, a charles needs an erik, an erik needs a charles

i really do love this pairing, its like, one of my favourites. specifically movieverse of course because thats what i’m into and also comics!charles is apparently a prick. and not even in a lovable way, like i’ve liked fictional pricks before, i mean, fuck that guy

charles and erik are two of my favourite characters in general, they’re really, REALLY interesting and compelling:

charles, the idealist who uses his privilege to help his people, which is like The Dream, amirite? and also like, literally needs hope to function properly. fucking mood. i find charles very relatable

erik, the cynic/realist who has seen literally the worst humanity can do, so as such has every right to not trust humans. like i get it. i don’t agree with his methods, i’m more on charles side there, but they’re BOTH right

and gosh it’d be easy for this to be so black and right, and i’m sure the early comics were but times change and as do they. and its so good

and i love ‘em both so so very much

i think the x-men movies kinda wonked up in the prequels and accidently made hank to be charles True Companion rather than erik, and that makes the ship feel a bit hollower but, whatever, im a multishipper. but i just wanted to point that out because it feels like a writing fumble

like, charles and erik barely see each other. that’s weird, right?

on a more shallow note: i think we can all agree that the world as we know it was changed in 2011 when x-men first class made charles xavier sexually desirable. that was a helluva wham, wasn’t it? a concept i would’ve found absurd beforehand. child me would laugh in my face. the x-men fandom got shooketh. i don’t find erik attractive, but whatever

i mean, theres a lot more that could be and has been said about this pairing and these characters because oh my gosh, they’re great, but uhhh yeah
