I could list 1,000 things I like about my dad but my favorite is his laugh when he doesn’t want to laugh. 😂 My wicked stepmother (who I adore) came to get her hair done today. For background, my dad’s mom was a hairstylist, my mom is one, my stepmom was a nail tech for a bit, AND her mom (my awesome other grandma) retired from hairdressing as well. So, dad gets it. However, because he’s been surrounded by hairdresser since he was a baby, he knows it ALLLLLLL (ok. He knows it all about everything). Anyway, what I’m trying to say is this, “Danny Cook is a critic of hair”. When Jen came to her appointment today she said that dad says I cut too much off the last time. We are usually closed on Mondays but a few of us will be at work tomorrow playing catch up. If you are without power and need a place to rest, charge your devices, access our internet, refill water, please swing by this week. We also have a washer and dryer that everyone is welcome to use (please bring your own detergent if you can, if not, you can use ours while it lasts). You don’t have to buy anything. No appointment needed. You can come just sit for awhile. We have lots of room and comfy seats to wait in. Please reach out. Also. If you just feel funky and need your hair washed, I’ll happily do it for you. No charge. I just know that even something as small as clean hair helps when you’ve been working in the yard and returning to no power. I just life hacked mask life. (Also, I’m sure I haven’t been the first to think of it). I just put a few drops of essential oils in my mask when I was filling up my diffuser at work.
