A few days after Penzey’s e-mails exploded onto the national stage, the Spice House, another Wisconsin-based retailer, posted a message on its own Facebook page. “My husband and I are very careful to never bring politics or personal opinions into our spice company, they have no business there,” Patty Erd, who owns the Spice House with her husband, Tom, wrote. Never mind that the spice trade itself is one of the most intensely political industries in history, or that “staying out of politics” is, of course, its own kind of political statement.
Well, let's see how this turns out! Cricket flour and #Penzey's Aleppo Pepper for my chicken marinate! A shoutout to @cafemilagro for their awesome coffee scooper! #bigcricketfarms #matchmadeinheaven
Beef Sate Stew in the crock pot:
2 small cuts of Beef, mine are Boneless short ribs. 1 can of coconut milk 1 1/2 cups of chicken stock 1 Tbsp of beef bullion 2 tbsp of Penzey's Sate seasoning 1/2 onion, sliced in thin strips 3 cloves garlic, diced 1 (big) or 2 (small) zucchini, sliced in thick disks
Add all to crock pot. Cook on low 8-10 hrs.
I'll let you know how it tastes, but the sauce, after only having simmered an hour when I left, was SO GOOD. Possibly one of the best flavors I've ever concocted.
