17. Has someone ever confessed something really big to you?

Yeah, I tend to be pretty open about my own tragic backstory and as a result a lot of people have shared their own stories with me. 

I did once have a coworker confess their love for me while “You belong with me” by taylor swift played in the background so that was pretty interesting

36. What is the most impactful or important thing anyone has ever said to you?

ugh probably my therapist telling me that I couldn’t have done any better than I did and it’s amazing that I’ve been able to take of myself as well as I have given what my childhood was like. just the reinforcement that it took me a lot to get to where I am even if it doesn’t look like it from the outside. I don’t know that I’ve totally accepted it myself, but I’m working on it.

Amethyst: What do you do when you need some peace and quiet?

I like to take drives. I find that it can really help calm my mind just cruising around back roads on my own and scream singing along with the radio. My life tends to be pretty quiet (outside of work), but the inside of my head can be loud. If I want peace it usually means finding some way to drown that out and listening to music is the only thing that really works. 

Turquoise: At what point in your life where you the happiest?

Happiness has always been a bit of a moving target for me. I can’t really remember an period of my life where I could say I was happiest, but I can remember individual moments which really shone. When my friend and I won tickets to see a band we loved and then arrived and realized we were basically front row, arriving in Paris with one of my best friends and walking to see the Eiffel Tower from the apartment we were renting, spending the day in Joshua Tree with my best friend. I tend to spend too much time in my head which can make it hard to live in the moment, and it’s hard to be happy when you are thinking about the 12 different things that are stressing you out. I guess what I’m really trying to say is that I hope the happiest point in my life is still ahead of me. I hope it is always tomorrow and tomorrow and then tomorrow again
