This is more of a thought experiment than anything. Since Lewis used to help his family out at their restaurant before joining up with the Mystery Skulls Paranormal Investigation crew, I thought it might be interesting to imagine how that fateful meeting might’ve transpired.

Lewis: Hi! Welcome to Pepper Paradiso. My name is Lewis. I’ll be your server this evening. Can I get you started with some…um…sir, I’m afraid we don’t allow pets in here.

Arthur: Oh, naw, it’s cool, man. He’s my service animal.

Mystery: (whines)

Arthur: Well you are! You’re so doggone cute we get the best service wherever we go!

Mystery: (growls)

Lewis: …I see. Well, I…legally can’t ask you to prove that, so…would you care to hear about our specials?

Arthur: Dude, we knew what we wanted the moment we saw your ad for a Bhut Jolokia Jelly Roll.

Lewis: Ah, the adventurous type! Lovely choice! Will that be one slice or two?

Arthur: Slice? Pfft! We’ll take a log each.

Mystery: (excited bark)

Lewis: ...Right. If you’ll…excuse me for a moment while I…check in with...the chef… (walks to the kitchen) Hey, Pops! Where do we keep the waivers?

Arthur and Mystery: (panic noises)
