@peppermint-ginger 's default of yfhatgradcap and ymhatgradcap [YU only] with my retextures in @poppet-sims V2 colours
based on Cazy Mignight Wish for F and Newsea Zac for M
~13k polys for F, ~6k polys for M
original here, i just basically slapped my textures on the original default file, so pretty much all credit to peppermint-ginger!
After trying to make the magazines a different subset from the rack I suddenly realised this had been done before (luckily, because I wasn’t doing very well).
Another idea foiled! Was there nothing I could do about this?? Well, actually, there was!
There have been some pretty magazines recolors, but I don’t think anybody has made a non default replacement of them yet with HugeLunatic’s CEP. If someone has already done this feel free to ignore this post of course.
This new CEP will conflict with mine, and I recommend just deleting mine all together. The new one is superior, because it covers magazine racks as well. To do so, just delete Lotte_CEP_EnterpriseGameRack.package from your CEP folder). This also means that if you use my game rack recolors you only need the recolors for the Countertop Display in your game, the other files will be redundant.
Now we’ve got that part covered I can finally tell you about the magazines. I’ve made recolors for the magazine rack of a few Simlish magazines I could find. If there are some amazing ones I’ve missed let me know and I’ll do those too, they’re really easy to make.
The ones included are:
Diwasims magazines put on a magazine rack by @tvickiesims
@peppermint-ginger’s magazines
lolabythebay’s Old Timey magazines (there are three of them!)
The standard Maxis ones (I figured these might be useful for people who like their default replacement but want options)
Now you can mix and match your magazines without the need for a default replacement.
Here are the replies to my post from last week, about how I completely cleared my downloads folder!

This!! It made me check mine and I've JUST started to gather CC and it's at 4gigs.. I couldn't believe it. After some panic googling I found out I could move the folder to another drive instead so that is done. Now it can grow in peace...grow and grow and grow...
You, my friend, need to share this piece of information!! I love CC, but I cut down on it because of my impatience (load time) and how it affects my game (lag, etc). Otherwise, I would literally have everything piece of custom content in my game, no lie! But How does it work? How long does your game take to load?

I so badly need to do this. I just realized my folder has exceeded 4 GB and I can't have that.
Riiiight! That’s exactly how I felt! I thought I was the only one, haha.

As someone who can’t seem to dip below 8GB, I need to learn your ways
Haha.... Well! You have to be 100% honest with yourself!... Do you really need 15 versions of that flower pot in 43 different colors each? Probably not. That build set you planned to use for your zombie/apocalypse-theme hood that’s been sitting in your folder for the past 8 months, untouched... You should take it out. All 22 sets of eye-shadows you never ever, I mean like never use? Goodbye!
Little by little, you’ll start to see your folder diminish.
For instance, there’s a wall set I have which contains 20 walls, but I only ever use ONE of it. It’s my fave, so I use it over and over. So, I got rid* of the other nineteen. Didn’t need them.
*By get rid, I mean took out and placed it in a folder on a USB, in case I ever change my mind, lol.

What kind of sorcery is this? My folder with same defaults has ~3 GB.
Wow, really? I am tempted to ask what you’ve got in it, but I don’t want to download more than what I truly need, hahaha. But my folder is bare, I only have defaults for wall and roof trim.

how even. i might have to go on a cc binge just to balance you out :D
What lol, no! if you love cc, & don’t mind the wait time, etc, then just gooo craaaazy! Honestly, your game is so stunning!
Today, an edit of @peppermint-ginger‘s game rack default replacements (look, I've learned how to tag!). I have changed the box art of the games to my own (earlier available as posters here) and just as with the original you can only have one of the replacements in your game, black or white.
Specifics about the two racks:
Enterprice Office Freestanding Game Rack (base game)
Endeavor Office Freestanding Game Rack (Free Time)

I realised my default replacement of the Enterprice Office Freestanding Game Rack also effects the textures of the games in the little countertop display (shown left in the picture above), and so I decided I needed the other games as a recolor as well.
As I was busy with the games I wanted to make some display recolors to match the standing racks as well and so there we are.
So in total there are 3 4 recolors; one two recolors for the games (shown in the picture above) and two recolors of the display itself in black and white. They aren’t default replacements so you don’t have to choose between black or white this time.

Download (updated with both game recolors)
Sep. 9, 2021 Update! I’ve updated the download to include recolors of both of the games. You no longer need the default replacement to have the left ones show up, they’re both included now.
If you liked these, there’s another recolor for the games in this post.
