in my defence i was twelve!!! and also at the time i thought ‘fursona’ meant like, my favourite character out of my OC’s??? like i had a little group of lion OC’s and that was the one i used the most. i have since learned that this is Not The Case but also when i was 12 i did dye my hair to look more like this um. lion character

@handypolymath that doesn’t happen often but for a while it happened a couple times within a few weeks span and I was like WHAT IS GOING ON??? Didn’t help that I could usually tell them where they need to go. 😂😂 I attribute it to the confident way I walk, like I know where I’m going?? But omg do awkward like I would hate for that to happen frequently!!

i got a rare two-day "weekend" today so i actually slept in and then carried my cat around the kitchen like a baby while i made coffee and have pretty much spent the whole day chilling with my fur brother.... the only proper way to spend a monday

ok so since Iron Man 3 came out people have been saying Gwyneth Paltrow wanted out of the MCU and with Captain America: Civil War it seems this shit is all misinformed people have been saying around the internet, including tumblr, and i’m honestly T I R E D because she DIDN’T say that and i’m gonna show y’all why Pepper Potts was written out, apparently. 

WARNING: DON’T READ THIS IF YOU’RE TOO FAR UP MARVEL’S ASS :)

Let’s go with the most important facts: 

- Marvel didn’t even ask Gwyneth Paltrow to come back, as far as we know, so how tf do people expect her to be in the film?????

- When asked if she would join RDJ in Civil War back in 2014 Gwyneth said:

“My fingers are crossed. I would love to be Pepper Potts again at some point in my life.“ [source]

- In 2015 she was once again asked if she would play Pepper again at some point during her interview on the Howard Stern Show to which she replied:

“I would like to play Pepper Potts again, you know, it’s such a fun job because I get to be with Robert and I love being with him.” [source]

About Gwyneth “stopping acting”:

- Indeed she said on the first semester of this year she would take a break from acting this year to focus on her business (goop). 

- However, she revealed later on she would be back in the acting business by the next year and she’s already got plans, etc. And when asked if she’d be on an “Iron Man 9 or something″ as the interviewer put it she said she “may be doing something like that.” This still doesn’t mean she’s coming back at all but as we can see SHE isn’t the problem here, right :) [source] 

Now as to why Pepper was WRITTEN OFF Civil War:

- First of all because Marvel doesn’t give a fuck about female characters unless they have enhanced powers/abilities (and even then they don’t get the best treatment ever as we well know and could see, again, in this film lmao).

- During the Captain America: Civil War audio commentary Joe Russo said:

“Yeah, the intent in this movie… Because we knew where we were going with the character, that we had to motivate Tony to want to kill Bucky Barnes in the third act in order for the third act to work correctly. Uh, that Tony would have to be off-balance. And the way that we thought we could make him off-balance was by pulling things out of his life, making him emotionally vulnerable… Really emotionally vulnerable. So, Pepper is out of his life. It clearly is an issue for him, as you can see, by Robert’s performance here.” 

So yeah...They wrote her off, ignored 4 movies of character development to make Tony “really emotionally vulnerable” (as if that was needed, like...) and even called Pepper a “thing” to be pulled out of Tony’s life lmao I’m amazed...

(Let’s be honest, they did it because they didn’t even want to deal with her character at all.)

Fun fact: The Russos knew about the Pepper Potts in Civil War rumors that came around in February and they thought it was funny and didn’t say anything about it being a lie even though it was published by a fairly known magazine (Empire Magazine):

“What were some of your favorite rumors during preproduction and filming?

Anthony: We are aware of them sometimes. The hard part of it is production moves at such a furious pace that it is difficult to process too deeply because you are just trying to keep your head above water with the production.

Joe: I think there was a Red Hulk rumor. There was a “Pepper Potts is in the movie” rumor. That rumor may have come because we sat down and talked to Gwyneth [Paltrow] about “[Avengers:] Infinity War.” People might have misinterpreted that meeting.” ....Well....Okay then, I guess :))))))

...I could rant about this for hours, and I have before, but I’m exhausted and I think I already made my point here: Gwyneth Paltrow has NOTHING to do with the lack of Pepper Potts in the MCU and the so adored by the MCU fandom @ Russo Brothers ft. Markus & McFeely literally are the worst. :)

p.s. I find it so funny that every time a [female] character is pushed aside on the MCU y’all say it’s all because the actress wanted out lmfao alrighttttt
