I just read "Being Alpha and Omega" and... of course I came up with a sad ending.

Perseus dies when Percy is expecting their firstborns. It was supposed to be a simple task — Hydra raged in the lands nearby new Rome in the lands where mortals lived and a group of too green demigods-legionnaires who had to deal with it requested the help of one of the great heroes. But they all had hyper important things to do except Percy.

Percy wanted to go and help, it was only the fifth month of pregnancy and he was going through worse things. One hydra should have been fine. But Perseus wouldn't let him in because he was worried about him and their children. Instead, so that Percy wouldn't worry and torment himself with the remorse of his stupid conscience, Perseus volunteered to help.

And the worst-case scenario happened.... Hydra somehow became stronger, it killed almost the entire group of legionnaires and seriously mortally wounded Perseus, who still managed to kill her.

He stops a young beta-girl, the daughter of Salus, who was trying to heal his profusely bleeding wound and in a hoarse voice asks her to tell Percy that he loves him, is infinitely grateful to him for happiness, even short-term, and he is very, very sorry that he will not be able to see their son and daughter.

(The girl was named Persea, and the boy was named Kostas... It was middle name of name of Perseus).

I'm... trying to figure out how to phrase this in the kindest way possible.

What in the world compelled you to send this ask??

I love getting asks about my fics, I really-really-really do, but what could have possibly made you think "hey what if your fic that intentionally had a happy ending actually had a bad ending and how about I just give you a detailed recount of how half the ship could have died, FULLY unprompted and unrequested, in your inbox" was a... good, nice or appreciated thing?

Why... did you think that an author, an author who exclusively writes happy endings, would be happy to find this in their inbox?

I can't even tell if you enjoyed the story, on account of you pitching the polar opposite of what its whole point was. This is... baffling and confusing to me, start to finish, to be very honest.

I usually have no ideas when someone asks for suggestions, but a few days ago you answered an ask about time traveling Nicercy and I thought that I really would like to read a fic about that! Especially with the bonus Percy. So yeah, that's "my" idea xD

Ooooo you could do a Alpha Percy x Omega Percy x Alpha Nico

I got that suggestion earlier already. It’s marked down with a questionmark for now, because for this, I’d have to come up with a good reason for why there would be two Percys. Otherwise, there’d be no point to this.

Um, hi? I kinda sent you a request/fic plot? It was the one where Percy/Perseus lives in the world with a soulmate AU and gets visited by the Percy/Perseus from Canon and they realise that they're soulmates? You didn't post anything about it so I kinda got worried. I'm sorry if you don't like it though. You have no obligation towards the plot or me so, yeah. Well that’s the problem when you send requests on anon. I kinda can’t answer the ask because then it’s not in my inbox anymore sooo if I’d actually decide to write it, it’ll already be gone. ^^°

I haven’t decided if I want to write it yet. The whole parallel universe thing is intensely vague, because how does Perseus get there? Just using Janus for that makes it far too close to a Percest I already wrote. Also I’ve been writing so many soulmate AUs lately that I’m not really feeling that.

So, yeah, I don’t know if I’ll write it yet. If I’d find a good solution for the universe breach that satisfies me, I might. But since I don’t have one, I can’t say right now.
