Giorgio Moroder's career has a multitude of facets, so him working under a German pseudonym shouldn't surprise us. Einzelgänger was that nom de plume and the record he published under the moniker contained some of the most experimental pieces by Mr. Moroder. While he might disregard the album as a giant folly, one notices he tested the sounds he would deploy later on to great use on his cooperations with many musicians. Additionally, you observe that him staying in Germany during that time influences his soundscapes greatly. I mean, I see this album as something Kraftwerk would have done as a transition between Ralf Und Florian and Autobahn, because the disc resembles a mix of the former's jokiness with the latter's firmness.
