I love the idea of every demigod giving mortals the uncanny valley about themselves. On an instictual level mortals are a little weary from thousands of years of gods going around doing whatever the fuck they want without care for the mortals that'll be hurt from their actions.
Percy always smells like he's been at the beach all day even if he's not been in a hundred miles of an ocean for a month. Nico has a weird way of reminding people of dead relatives. Like his eyes, hair, how he walks, something small that makes your heart ache with grief. When Thalia walks around in her boots it sometimes sounds like thunder either just as one quiet rumble or so loud you look at the sky trying to find storm clouds that may or may not be there.
You don't know why but when you see a hermes kid in your vicinity you hold your purse a little tighter and make a mental check that you have everything you should. You look at a child of Aphroditie and something in the back of your mind tells you they look a little too perfect.
So on and on. idk I just think it'd be a cool thing especially in fics. Imagine how hard it'd be to convince mortals you're trying to help when they inherently don't trust you. Not because you've done something to make them not trust you. But because it's an instinct, a survival instinct.
The show is also a perfect exactly of why age appropriate cast is important. Because they actually casted young actors, you see children running around, being chased by monsters and sacrificing themselves for each other at the age of 12 and it hits you how unfair and strange it is and how the gods have truly failed them.
'ares is that way. zeus is that way. my mother is that way. he isn't that way. he is better.'
People: "so, who do you ship Nico with?"
Me: "...YES..."
Our underworld half-siblings!
Am I right?:)Again,my English is poor and I'm very sorry😢
Will: What do you have beating deep inside of you?
Nico: Hate
Will: No, no, no, the thing that pumps blood through your body
Nico: Rage
Will: No, no, it is a vital organ
Nico: Vengeance
