      “ Rrrgh... Those rotten Gnocs were rougher than normal. Imagine attackin’ a guy while he’s takin’ a nap---” Raising his head, the little hero blinked up at who had spoken. “ Huh, Ami? ” He asked, confusing her for the fairy princess from Charmed Ridge. “ What’re you doin’ here? ” Sparx was hovering near her shoulder, looking worried. After his protective magic had run out for Spyro, he had darted away to find help.

   Trying to get up, the young dragon winced in pain, but he was too proud to lie back down, even if his legs couldn’t hold him up right now.

“ Goodness... you’ve truly been held captive so many times? ” What a number - Vivian couldn’t even imagine how Peach could handle that. Even knowing Mario would save her, to get kidnapped so frequently...

“ Still... at least you have Mario, right? It must feel nice knowing he’ll always be there to keep you safe. ” Well, regardless, it made for nice small talk between the two; a light conversation to add some flavor to the potential monotony of brushing the Princess’ hair ( not that she’d mind regardless... her hair was lovely. She would need to ask Peach how she cares for it at some point. ). Though, Vivian was all too happy to talk about Mario regardless of the circumstances.

ooc;; How close they are at any moment may vary from portrayal to portrayal, but there’s one constant that will never change (outside of possible AUs?) - Peach and Vivian are friends.

ooc;; Sure, at first there’s a bit of awkwardness considering how strong Vivian’s feelings are and how resigned she is to knowing Peach is the one for him; but the fact is, even from the beginning, Vivian had a lot of respect for the woman. So beautiful, graceful, energetic, friendly... even after the brief time they spoke at the end of TTYD, Vivian both knew that - at least as far as she could tell - she didn’t stand a chance with Mario, and that Peach was an absolute icon of beauty.

Of course, between two friendly souls like the two of them, awkwardness wasn’t bound to last - the two met again as Peach explored out to once again thank those who helped save the world back in Rogueport, and they actually hit it off fast. Talking about Mario, about adventures, about beauty, about shopping, about the people around them, bits of gossip... they became friends fast. They’re either total gal pals now, or they’re going to be, but there’s no denying that the two have plenty to talk about, plenty of admiration for Mario, beauty tips they share with one another, Peach is all too happy to share her dresses... they’re friends, and it’s making it a lot easier to accept that Peach totally wins between the two of them when thinking about her favorite plumber, and even starts supporting the two of them properly. Which is gonna make the verses where she does win the Boi over very surprising for her. :3c
