Hi! I’d like to share my fic for the Proud Author Spotlight. It is a modern MDZS heist AU inspired by Ocean’s Eleven, set in Las Vegas and Macau. It follows an original character and his crew through a high-stakes con, with a slow-burn M/M romance with Lan Xichen. If you like heist stories with real stakes, morally complex characters, and a romance that builds slowly across the whole story, this might be for you.

Summary: Macau. The Lan brothers own it. Three casinos, one empire, no mercy. Wei Wuxian assembles a crew of seven to bring it all down from the inside. Qing Yi's job is simple: get close to Lan Xichen, earn his trust, bring his empire down. The problem is that Lan Xichen is not what he expected. And Qing Yi is not as untouchable as he pretends. The heist is the easy part. Falling for the mark was never in the plan. Inspired by Ocean's Eleven.

poem i made!!

i tried making this poem to nails how we all kinda feel about social media and the constant feed of stories and pics. it’s like being full but still starving, you know? how the scroll never stops and somehow controls us more than we control it.

lines like “we’re swept away by the current, adrift, lost in the noise” really hit different when you think about how much time we spend glued to screens.

it’s not just about the addiction either. it’s about how those perfect, filtered lives start feeling like our own, and then what’s left of us?

it made me stop and think about how easy it is to forget what real hunger feels like when you’re always snacking on the fake stuff.
