I like a lot of different tropes. Like... A LOT. But if I had to pick just one to be my favorite trope of all time...

Boy and girl have been best friends since early childhood. Everyone says they should be together, but they stubbornly claim they don't see it. After high school, they go to different universities, but they keep in touch and still hang out as often as possible. Once they've graduated and gotten jobs, they decide to be roommates. Unbeknownst to them, their other friends are all placing bets on how long it'll take before they end up in bed together. The bets range from two months to two years.

...It takes them three weeks.
