joked about going back to retail or going to food service and my dad genuinely looked at me and said, "I don't know, food service is pretty stressful, I don't think you'd do well." anyway today I dealt with 2 seizures, was the only one who recognized one of them as a seizure, and we barely kept her from aspirating during. I am a phlebotomist who knows nothing but vein vs artery and draw order. love my easy stress free job.
#personal#please just kill me#also dealt with it all after getting yelled at by my new manager who I trained btw#bc I wanted one day out of the front end to avoid making my migraine worse AND came up with a way to work that for him#when he knows and supported me when I was the ONLY employee willing and competent enough to do every job in the facility#while everyone else stayed stationary in one job role#they waited until I was so burnt out from doing anything that I didn't care anymore to start fixing it#and most of fixing it is just me retraining the same 4 people I've already trained and cleaning up their messes#while they give me the most condescending speeches about how they really are helping me :))#none of that is his fault but he knows about all of it and still#I'm the bad guy because I asked him to accommodate me for one day#as if I don't have phlebs who refuse to stick anytime they feel off#as if he wasn't so busy talking to our new manager to keep track of the one time sensitive task he actively chose to take#and left the entire place for me to clean up#are we fucking joking#this man was normal 2 weeks ago bro. this place is actual hell#fucking destroys people
