The week began with the joint testimonies of State Dept. official George Kent and Bill Taylor, Former US Ambassador to Ukraine, with a new twist: yet more evidence of Trump’s “high crimes and misdemeanors” from an overheard phone call at a restaurant with Ambassador to the EU Sondland, who said point blank that Trump’s interest in Ukraine extended to the dirt he could dig up on @joebiden and nothing more. The credible witnesses continued as Marie Yovanovitch, who served as Ambassador to Ukraine until the president nixed her, told her piece. But good ol’ @realdonaldtrump couldn’t stay quiet and had to attack her on Twitter, (I hear not of it was worth his time and he wasn’t watching any of it) and so the GOP folks had to do backflips to account for more of the crazy.
