au where jackie survives the wilderness and she ends up forgiving shauna and they get married the end forever
I'm attempting to figure out how to calculate the images I'm making for my comic into the word count. "A picture is worth a thousand words" is not as straightforward as it may seem. How does one define "a picture"?
What's been really great for me is watching my mental images resolve onto my computer screen. Going from brain to written script to drawings, or brain to drawings to script, or brain to script to drawings ending up totally different than I envisaged, or drawing something unexpected and revising the script - it's all a fascinating process. It's also a huge relief to have it there, in front of me, existing.
Not Quite Lost
"I do not know whether to hope, or grieve." - Dmitri, regarding his sister.
"I...I know." - April, regarding her brother.
National Comic Book Scripting Month
November is coming, and with it, National Novel Writing Month! I signed up at nanowrimo.org and I'm going to be working on my comic script. Again. I know, I know - I'm a slow writer but I like to get things right, to do my research and take several upper division Anthropology courses to iron out some really difficult world building issues. I'm a bit peeved that I can't select Script mode for November on the website. We'll see how it all goes. :)
Also I'll be on KCSB Radio again on Tuesday October 29, from 9:30am-10am. Listen to the stream here or tune into 91.9 FM in the Santa Barbara area.
First thing I ever drew on Livestream!
Perfectly Sane’s live radio debut talking about NaNoWriMo is now (finally) available online. Apologies that it wasn’t out sooner, homework has to come before learning how to trim and convert enormous .wav files. Enjoy listening! :)
