God that gifset got me thinking about what Ignis must’ve “seen” in his mind right before Noctis sacrificed himself for the world. Noctis...his life flashed before his eyes, but do you think it also flashed across Ignis’ mind?
Like, he just remembers meeting this adorable young prince with a cute little smile, and then he remembers the sleepy, grumpy little teenager, the mellowed young adult, and the sad, heart-broken King as he walked up those steps and straight into his fate.
He dedicated his heart, soul, and service to the prince, to his king, and the devastation of him not being around anymore and knowing that his life has come to an end must be literally unbearable.
He just remembers the face of a smiling, happy little boy and he just;;;; weeps.
