Pretty sure the reason SGC refuses to expand is they think the number of actual paying customers outside of their special handful of countries is too small for the risk of pirates using it to get a hold of their stuff while the local government doesn't do much about it because they have other priorities. It's bullshit, people who want to pirate 10-20 year old shows will find a way, most fans who love it enough to dig for behind the scenes stuff want to support it so there CAN be more stuff.

I think it would’ve been something to do with the destruction of Atlantis or the Replicators. Like how the Replicators tricked her in Progeny using the destruction of Atlantis.
Seeing how John is the big bad in all the dreams, I think he would turn out to be a replicator. Replicator!John would probably kill the team, Radek, Jennifer and other key staff members. He would destroy the city that Elizabeth loved all while she watched.
Bit cruel, but that’s how I think it would have gone.
